She felt his uneven breathing of his and caressed his cheek with her hand looking at him and said with a smile, “it’s going to be okay.”
After a few photos, the photographer said,

She thanked the photographer and was on her way to Amanda when Damien took hold of her hand.
She looked at him and asked, “why?”
