She phoned Damien after a little while.
He answered, “Hello, Ari fun night I presume?”
She replied, “yeah.”
“It was okay.”
He asked, “okay? That’s it?”
She said, “can we not talk about it now.”
He replied, “sure, what’s up?”
She asked him, “can we hang out today?”
He replied reluctantly, “I would love to but I can’t.”
She asked, “why not?”
He replied, “well since Frazier happened, we are looking at someone.”
She said, “sorry about that.”
He replied, “it was business, nothing personal.”
She said, “yeah.”
He said urgently, “well, I gotta go, talk to you later.”
And he hung up the phone.
Since she had nothing else to do, she had no choice but just think.
She sat on the couch and started to think about the time that she would rather forget.
