A Familiar Understanding Between Us

Once the class was over, Ethan grab his bag and exit from the classroom. He didn't know why but he was determined to find that girl.
He search through every classroom, cafeteria, hallways even rooftop but she was nowhere to be found. He gave up and somehow felt disappointed. He went to school library to study for upcoming math test.
And, when he stepped into the library, She was there. standing by the window. She was looking out the window.
Ethan's heart skips a beat and he slowly approached her. He cleared his throat and spoke in soft voice not wanting to startle her.
"Umm... Excuse me, miss?"
She slowly turn around to face him. Ethan's heart started to beat faster when he saw the girl from up this close. She was looking even beautiful from this close.
"Yes? do you need anything?" she asked. A soft smile was playing on her lips which made Ethan's face turn slightly red.
"N-no, i saw you in school ground and was curious..." He sounded nervous.
"I also saw you. you were looking at me from window." She said.
Ethan blushed after realising that he got caught looking at her. He nervously chuckles and scratch the back of his neck.
"well, you're wearing same uniform as me. do you also study here?" He asked.
She just shook her head and again look out the window. "No, i don't study here anymore."
Ethan narrowed his eyebrows, "Then, why are you wearing this school uniform if you don't study here?"
"Actually, i used to study here." She said.
Ethan got curious. He wanted to ask her so many things but his wasn't sure if he should ask right now or not.
"Btw, my name is Ethan. nice to meet you." He said and extend his hand for handshake. She gradually shook her hand with him.
"Nice to meet you too, Ethan. I'm Elena." She said and smile at him. Ethan couldn't help but blush more at the small interaction. But, he noticed that Elena's hand was cold but didn't focus on it that much.
"Btw, i came here to study for my upcoming math test. it's on next week and for that i have to study hard." he said and show her his math book.
"Oh, best of luck for your test. well, if you want then i can help you in studies. I'm really good in math." she said making Ethan look at her in surprise.
"cool, i would love to take your help. I'm really weak in math and always fails in tests." he laughed softly at his own words making Elena laugh as well.
They took seats by the window and began to study together. Elena point out many mistakes in Ethan's math book. she even told him tricks for math to solve questions easily.
Time flew slowly for them. it was like they weren't just studying but also understanding each other. they realised that their thoughts were same.
Ethan told Elena about his dream that he wants to become someone whom his parents can feel proud on. he told her that he wants to make friends but don't know how, that he always gets bully by Lucas but can't fight back because he's weak.
Elena told Ethan about her dream that she wants to find a true love because she always got betrayed in the end. she told him that she once had a boyfriend but he cheated on her with her own best friend.
Ethan listen to her without interrupting her as she opened up her feelings which she has kept to herself till now.
They share everything to each other. They felt a deep connection between them that they couldn't understand what is it but it felt so right.
And just like that the break time got over and bell rang for the last class of the day. Ethan grab his bag and went to his class.
Elena wave her hand at him and left from there as well.
In the classroom, Ethan focus on the lecture and writing down notes in his book. he even answered math questions which his professor asked.
now, it's time for classes to come to end for the day. all the students pack their bags and left from the classroom one by one.
Ethan also grab his bag and exit the classroom. he look for Elena so he can say bye to her but he couldn't find her. so, he took a deep sigh and began to walk out of school building.
He reached the school gate and for the last he turned around, hoping that he'll catch a glimpse of Elena, and she was there. she was at the rooftop and waving her hand as goodbye towards him.
Ethan smiled and wave back at her. he mouth "see you tomorrow" towards Elena. she understood and nod her head.
He turn around and went his father's car where his driver was waiting for him as he came to pick Ethan from school.
He got inside the car and buckle up the seatbelt. for one last time he pecked from the car's window towards the rooftop to find Elena was still there.
His driver notice a smile on Ethan's lips which he has never seen there before.
"young master, did something happen today in school? you're looking happy today." his driver asked while looking at Ethan from rearview mirror.
Ethan smiled at him and nod his head, "yeah, today... i made a friend. she's really amazing. she even helped me in math."
His driver look at him in surprise as he has never seen him praise anyone like this before. it was rare for him. But, he was happy that Ethan is not alone anymore.
"I'm happy for you, young master. may god always keep you happy like this and you make many friends." his driver said.
"I also pray for the same thing. i wish, it's always stay like this." there was a new spark in Ethan's eyes.
