Chapter 20 Shem led them to a comfortable room on the second floor with a view of the street behind and a small residential area off of the town square. Iellieth opened the window and drew out her raven figurine and placed it on the side table. Next, she withdrew parchment, ink, and quill from her bag. The room had two narrow beds, a chair at the end of each, and a small table. “You’re writing to the scholar you studied with, Katarina?” Marcon asked. He carried one of the chairs to the table for her and began inspecting the room. “Yes, she’s the most likely one I can think of who may be able to help you.
