Chapter 31 “Stand aside, stand aside.” A familiar voice rang out across the entry courtyard as Stormguard Basha shoved his way through the assembled troops. “Where is she?” The dwarf peered among the ranks, eyes finally alighting on the carriage that held Marcon and Iellieth. “Where’ve you been?” He stomped forward and yanked the door open, waving aside the guard stationed next to it. “By the gods, Ellie, what’ve they got you bound for?” Basha guided Iellieth out of the carriage, squinted at Marcon, and then resumed his shouting at the freshly arrived soldiers. “Who’s responsible for this?” The captain sprang forward, stammering apologies and trying to explain the circumstances in which he had found Iellieth and her captor in the woods. Basha roared and threw himself toward the carriage
