The woods

As the three imps gathered distance within the trees, the light of the sun began to dim. the river winding through the woods was nearby so they stopped to catch fish for dinner. the fire at there camp for the night cooked them just right. A wolf howling in the distance as they ate their fish. Col, the third imp, gathered together fire wood for the rest of the night and Crest was at least not alone in his effort. Many times, imps feared fire. It was not often used by them, but the fish was good and he enjoyed the light show. "So, what's the plan?" Dolton, the second imp, began the conversation.

Crest looked up from his fish as the question was raised. the look of inquiry on Dolton was impressive to a point."get Rick to protect our village with magic, hope its helps as much as that food last spring, no idea where to start, mind you." Crest replied casual. the magic of rick was unmatched in lore so it was to be a bit of a task underway. the river had a fish jump as Col scoffed, "well that far away how are we getting there, suppose we get there and hes not home, what then?" the less than hopeful imp inquired.

Crest finished his fish, "we travel by day, rest by night, and if anyone gets in conflict with us we fight for our lives. the wind blew the flames of there camp fire and crest pulled a small bag from his supply. "This powder when thrown in fire communicates with rick and sends him a message when spoken to the fire, that how I know he will be there" Crest tossed some of the powder in the fire. "I need help rick, its crest the imp, I am on the way to your castle."

The night was upon them and the three imps slept on the forest floor. The fire slowly flickering through the night. The light dimmed as the crickets chirped. The journey was underway, and they had so longed for peace to Cashmier. Not only was life about to change, but life would never be the same again. Rick was miles away outside the forest and imps rarely ever left the trees. In the past, there was danger on plains, imp eating lions and tigers. This was going to be a difficult journey.
