Chapter 13: Parisian Dreams The City of Love lived up to its reputation as Lexi and Ethan strolled hand in hand along the Seine River. The sun cast a warm glow over the city, and the Eiffel Tower stood majestically in the distance. They had been in Paris for three days, and every moment had been pure magic. As they walked, Lexi felt like she was floating on air. Ethan's hand in hers was all she needed to feel complete. They had talked about their future, their dreams, and their aspirations. Lexi had never felt more connected to someone in her life. One evening, Ethan suggested they visit the Eiffel Tower. Lexi's heart skipped a beat at the thought of ascending to the top of the iconic landmark. As they rode the elevator, Lexi's excitement grew. When they reached the top, she gasped in awe at the breathtaking view. Ethan took her hand, and they walked to the edge of the platform. The city stretched out before them, a sea of twinkling lights. Lexi felt like she was on top of the world. As they gazed out at the view, Ethan turned to her with a serious expression. Lexi's heart fluttered, wondering what he was thinking. Suddenly, he got down on one knee, pulled out a small box, and opened it, revealing a stunning diamond ring. "Lexi, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special," Ethan said, his voice filled with emotion. "I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy. Will you marry me?" Lexi's eyes welled up with tears as she nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with joy. Ethan slid the ring onto her finger, and Lexi felt like she was dreaming. They hugged, and Ethan whispered in her ear, "I love you, Lexi. Forever and always." As they held each other, the Eiffel Tower sparkled behind them, a symbol of their love shining bright. Lexi knew that this was just the beginning of their journey together, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held. The rest of the evening was a blur of happiness and celebration. They took photos, kissed, and basked in the glow of their engagement. Lexi felt like the luckiest person in the world, and she knew that she would cherish this moment forever. As they descended from the Eiffel Tower, Lexi turned to Ethan and asked, "What's next?" Ethan smiled mischievously. "I have a few plans in mind. But for now, let's just enjoy this moment and each other's company." Lexi smiled, knowing that she was in good hands with Ethan. Together, they would navigate the ups and downs of life, and she was excited to see what the future held for them.
