*Chapter 8: The Surprise*
Lexi arrived at Ethan's place at 7 pm, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity. She knocked on the door, and Ethan answered with a smile.
"Hey, come on in," he said, stepping aside to let her in.
Lexi walked into the apartment, and her eyes widened in surprise. The living room was filled with candles, and soft music was playing in the background. There was a beautifully set table with a delicious-looking dinner.
"Wow, this looks amazing," Lexi said, feeling touched by the effort Ethan had put in.
Ethan smiled and took her hand. "I wanted to do something special for you," he said. "I've been thinking a lot about us, and I wanted to show you how much you mean to me."
Lexi's heart melted at his words, and she felt grateful for the effort he had put in. They sat down to dinner, and the evening was filled with laughter, conversation, and romance.
As the night drew to a close, Ethan walked Lexi to the door. "I had a wonderful time tonight," he said, looking into her eyes.
Lexi smiled, feeling happy and content. "I did too," she said.
Ethan leaned in, his lips brushing against hers. Lexi felt a spark of electricity, and she knew that she was falling for him all over again.
