THE MEETING

The conference room was sleek and modern, with a large glass table and comfortable chairs. Lexi took a seat, trying to focus on the meeting agenda rather than the man sitting across from her.

Ethan, however, seemed completely at ease, his eyes fixed on the presentation screen as he discussed the latest marketing strategies. Lexi found herself stealing glances at him, remembering the way he used to make her laugh, the way he used to hold her hand.

"So, what do you think of the team's progress?" Ethan asked, leaning back in his chair.

Lexi took a seat, trying to appear composed. "I think they're doing well. I have some ideas for improving our social media presence, and I'd like to discuss them with you."

Ethan nodded, his eyes sparkling with interest. "I'd love to hear them."

As Lexi outlined her ideas, Ethan listened attentively, asking questions and providing feedback. Lexi felt a sense of excitement, realizing that she was already making a impact at the company.

As they discussed the marketing strategy, Lexi couldn't help but notice the way Ethan's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled, the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. She felt a pang of attraction, which she quickly suppressed.
