(Mirabel's POV)
The vision-sharing phenomenon intensified dramatically over the next two days as Solomon and I spent more time together. Every time his skin touched mine, prophecies flooded through our connection with unprecedented clarity and detail, showing me futures I had never been able to access when I worked alone.
I saw possible paths branching out in infinite directions, saw the consequences of choices not yet made, saw threats and opportunities that had been completely hidden from me before. It was overwhelming and exhilarating in equal measure, like suddenly gaining a new sense I had never known I was missing.
"Your presence amplifies my gift exponentially," I told Solomon after our fourth shared vision left us both breathless and shaking. "Together we can see things that neither of us could access alone. I do not understand how this is possible, but the evidence is undeniable."
"The moon goddess rarely does things randomly," Solomon said thoughtfully, his dark eyes studying me with an intensity that made heat rise in my cheeks. "Maybe we were meant to find each other, meant to combine our strengths for some purpose we do not yet understand."
The possibility terrified and thrilled me in equal measure. I had just barely escaped one mate bond, was still healing from the trauma of Vincent's rejection, still felt the ghost pain where our connection had been severed. The last thing I needed was to develop complicated feelings for another Alpha, especially one with as much baggage and danger attached to him as Solomon carried.
But I could not deny that something profound was happening between us, something that went beyond simple attraction or shared purpose. When Solomon touched me, I felt complete in ways I had never experienced with Vincent, like pieces of my soul that had always been missing were suddenly clicking into place.
"We need to focus on stopping Philip," I said firmly, deflecting from feelings I was not ready to examine. "The ceremony is in four days and we still have no concrete proof that Vincent will accept. He already rejected my warnings once, what makes you think he will listen now?"
Solomon's expression went dark with remembered pain. "He will not want to listen, that much is certain. But if we can gather evidence, find Philip's accomplices, maybe even discover the weapon he plans to use, Vincent will have no choice but to take the threat seriously."
We spent the rest of the day using our shared visions to investigate Philip's conspiracy, touching hands and diving into possible futures until we found the threads we needed. I saw Philip meeting with three other Moonstone wolves in secret, planning the details of the assassination. I saw the silver blade with strange symbols etched into the handle, hidden in Philip's quarters beneath a loose floorboard. I saw the moment when Philip would strike, using the chaos of the ceremony to mask his attack.
"We have enough," Solomon said finally as the sun began to set. "Enough details that Vincent cannot dismiss this as fantasy or manipulation. We leave for Moonstone Pack tomorrow at dawn."
That night I had the clearest, most powerful vision I had ever experienced, and it was not about Philip or Vincent or the assassination at all. I saw Solomon and myself months in the future, bound together by something deeper than normal mate bonds, our powers intertwined in ways that made us stronger than any Alpha pair in living memory. I saw us changing the future of all werewolves, saw our names becoming legend, saw a destiny that was both terrifying and magnificent.
When I woke, Solomon was sitting beside my bed watching me with knowing eyes. "You saw it too, didn't you?" he asked quietly. "Our future together."
I nodded slowly, unable to speak around the lump in my throat.
"The prophecy is just beginning, Mirabel," Solomon said, taking my hand gently. "And I think we are meant to fulfill it together, whether we are ready or not.”
