MA SIPS HER coffee idly. She looks like she is in one of the movie scenes in Crazy Rich Asians—that slight glare she has on her features, the perfectly donned hairdo, the expensive limited edition designer clothes. Anyone will believe her if she tells them she’s part of the cast of that movie.             I’m surprised she has invited me for brunch on a lazy Sunday. I’m surprised I even said yes to her invitation. Our relationship isn’t the best, but it isn’t that bad either. I don’t know what her intentions are for inviting me, but I’m soon yet to find out.
