It was around 4 when I got back to my dorm and I was greeted by Noah, I forgot it was his turn to babysit tonight, I rolled my eyes pushing the door open after unlocking it. “You know I actually don’t need babysitting right?”I pointed out throwing the keys on the desk and kicking off my shoes. “I know I actually came here for something else.”He dropped the soccer ball, which rolled lazily across the rug until it hit the leg of my desk. "I need your brain. Specifically, the part of it that understands Intermediate Microeconomics." I frowned at him and sat down on my desk chair. “Noah, we've talked about this. I am a Pomona student. I am currently stacked up on assignments. I do not care about the supply and demand curves of widgets, and I definitely don't care about whatever CMC business class you're panicking about."I signed tying my hair up in a bun, I already told them before I started don’t come looking for favours and it’s been three days? “Not for me!" Noah held up his hands defensively. "I'm pulling a solid B-plus, thank you very much. It's for Issac." I blinked a few times trying to process what he is asking of me. “Issac?” Noah sighed, dropping on to my bed in the corner of the dorm, looking suddenly exhausted. "Look, AB, he’s failing. Miserably. The athletic board gave him an ultimatum today: if he doesn't get his midterm grade up to a B by Friday morning, he’s benched for the rest of the season. If he's benched, we lose the conference championship. It's over." "Fascinating,"I said dryly, turning towards my laptop. "Sounds like Issac should have spent less time at finding his next hookup and more time in the library. Good luck to him." Noah got up quickly and locked my dorm and shut my window. I finally spun her chair around, crossing her arms. "Noah, why are you here? And why did you lock my door?" “Because Levi cannot know I am here. If he finds out, he will literally chain himself to your desk to keep me away from you." I raised an eyebrow. “What did you do?” “Okay I need you to Tutor Issac.”He admitted and I nearly fell of my chair at the statement. “No.” "Anna-Beth, please," Noah groaned. "I already tried to bring this up at dinner with Levi. I suggested you could tutor Issac, and Levi almost choked on his chicken. He went full psycho-protective twin mode. He said there was absolutely no way his sister was going to spend hours alone in a study room with the star striker. He said Issac has a reputation, and he’d rather forfeit the season than let Issac anywhere near you." “Levi needs to realize I am eighteen years old and fully capable of handling a guy who plays soccer for a living."I rolled my eyes, Levi has always been so over protective of boys coming near me, especially his friends that he knows too well.
