The moment Eran stepped into my office with that look on his face, I already felt my temper rising. But when he opened his mouth and delivered that message, something inside me snapped.
“How dare they demand such a thing from me?” I roared, my voice echoing off the walls. Anger burned through my veins like fire. The elders had always tested my patience, but this? This crossed a line.
Eran only shrugged, unbothered. “Well… that’s what I was told,” he said, sounding too casual for my liking.
“And you dare come here with such a demand?” I growled. “Go back and tell the elders to come and say it to my face. Not through some messenger.”
Eran held my gaze for a moment before turning his attention to Lincoln, who stood beside me. “Did you see any female?” he asked him sharply.
