Somehow, I knew it was not wise to try to talk Sara out of her resolve yet. She was angry, frustrated and confused. Plus, I was unsure what to say to make things right between us. So I stayed silent till she got on the jet, telling myself to give her time.
I quickly returned to dealing with the business of the day once she was gone. Within the next few hours as expected, photos of me and my little one were on TV and social media. It lifted my mood a little.
It was hard to feel anything but free and light. My heart wouldn't stop fluttering. Last night had a lot to do with that part. Although the feeling was mixed with relentless anxiety over the fact that Sara was determined to keep hating me.
