Too many things had my attention all at once.
Among them was the fact that the second meeting with the council of elders had just ended, and the Chief was not making a move to leave. The message from Richard that Derek, Orphic's new police chief, a Forest Mooner had settled the matter with sergeant brave. The file that contained details of the same sergeant sat staring at me.
Add to these was the fact that all my calls to Sara had gone unanswered.
Shouldn't she expect an explanation or apology for last night. Maybe she did, but just wont talk to me.
