Jake POV
The feast and partying went on all night. Before dawn the next day, Nick and Sara made their way out of the mansion to the waiting private jet for the customary conjugal rest. They were required to stay out of sight of the pack for at least seventy-two hours.
"Our first stop is Tauranga," Nick said. "We have to see Lily and her twins. She's been nagging me."
"Give her my regards. Tell her I'll be there soon," I replied.
'Can't wait to see the look on her face when she hears your update.'
He bumped me in the shoulder, giving me a side look. I knew he expected a protest, but I didn't have the heart to hide anymore, so I ignored the remark.
Before boarding the jet, I pulled him into a bro hug.
"Congratulations, Alpha."
"Thanks, Beta," he replied, eyes bright with contentmen
