The bell rang, and the hallway filled with the chatter and laughter of students. I pushed open the classroom door to see Alex gathering his books, a bright grin lighting up his face. “Hey, Mom!” he called, running toward me. I scooped him up in a quick hug. “Hey, sweetheart. Ready to see your report?” I asked, taking the folder his teacher handed me. “Mom, look! I did really well!” Alex said, bouncing on his heels. His teacher, Mrs. Harper, approached me with a smile. “Emma, I just wanted to say, Alex is exceptional. He’s curious, disciplined, and remarkably bright for his age. If he keeps this up, I strongly recommend applying to St. Peter’s Academy.
