Amelia moaned and her head fell back in pleasure as Luz pressed open-mouth kisses along her collarbone. Her hands moved to his shoulders to hold onto him. His hands moved to her back, pulling her flush against him so their bare chests pressed together. The contrast of her warm skin against the creeping coldness of the black veins sent a shiver through him. “Gods, Amelia,” he breathed against her neck, his lips tracing the line of her jaw. “Every time I touch you, I feel like I am burning from the inside out.” His fingers worked at the laces of his own trousers with impatient movements, kicking the fabric aside until her stood fully exposed before her. The black veins along his hips and thighs pulsed visibly in the dim light.
“You should see what you are doing to me,” he said roughly, his crimson eyes fixed on her face as she moaned beneath his touch. “The way you look at me– it is like you do not see the monster at all.” Amelia stood so the midnight tunic fell to the floor. “I do not see a monster,” she said confidently. “I see a man who wants me.” Luz’s breath caught in his throat, the confident certainty in her voice striking something deep within him. The crimson glow in his eyes softened, flickering with that familiar amber warmth she remembered from summers past. “You have no idea how dangerous that is,” he whispered, his hands finding her hips and pulling her against him. The hard planes of his body met her softer curves, the heat between them building rapidly.
“If you keep saying things like that, I will not be able to stop.” His lips crushed against hers again, hunger and desperation fuelling the kiss. One hand slid up her spine while the other tangled in her red hair, tilting her head to deepen the angle. “Tell me to stop,” he muttered against her mouth, even as his hands continued exploring the contours of hr body. “No,” Amelia said quickly, her voice pleading. “Please, do not stop.” The plea in her voice was his undoing. His control snapped, his hesitation melting away under the weight of her desperate words. “No,” he growled, lifting her effortlessly against him and placing her down onto the cot. His hands gripped her thighs as he positioned himself between them.
“You are going to regret this later– but right now, I need you more than my next breath.” He guided himself to her entrance, the darkness inside him responding violently to the overwhelming flood of human connection washing over him. His crimson eyes locked onto hers with an intensity that bordered on feral. “Look at me when I take you,” he commanded roughly, his voice dropping to that deeper harmonic tone that signalled his true self breaking through. “I want to see your face when you realize what you have done.” With a single powerful thrust, he entered her deeply, burying himself to the hilt. Amelia gasped sweetly, her nails lightly digging into his shoulders. “Luz,” she murmured and looked deep into his crimson eyes.
The sound of his name on her lips– his real name, not the title of a fallen general– sent a shockwave through Luz’s entire being. The crimson in his eyes flickered violently, the amber warmth surging to the surface as if fighting back against the darkness. “Say it again,” he demanded, his voice cracking with emotion, his voice cracking with emotion. His thrusts became deeper, more urgent as he chased the feeling of her acceptance. “Say my name like you mean it.” His hands gripped her hips possessively, tilting her to take him even deeper. Black veins spread further, over his shoulder and down his back, but for once it felt less like an invading darkness and more like an echo of their shared pleasure.
“You feel so good. Better than any memory I have been clinging to for six years,” he breathed against her neck, his lips finding the sensitive skin there. “Gods. Luz,” she moaned softly. “Feels so good.” Luz’s movements grew more urgent at her words, the sound of his names on her lips driving him closer to the edge. The crimson glow in his eyes intensified, pulsing with a mix of raw human desire. “f**k, Amelia,” he growled, his voice dropping to that deeper harmonic tone that signalled the true Luz breaking through. “The way you say my name– it is like you are trying to bring me back from the dead.” His hands tightened on her hips, fingers digging into the soft flesh as he drove into her with increasing force. The black veins along his chest and shoulders flared visibly with each thrust, the dark veins crawling across his skin like shadows come to life.
“You are killing me,” he confessed between raged breaths, his forehead resting against hers. “Every time I look at you, every time you touch me– it feels like coming homes after six years of being lost.” Amelia felt the familiar build of pressure, the one she felt last night. “I– I am your home,” she muttered breathless. “Come home to me.” She pulled Luz down for a kiss. The kiss shattered whatever remained of his military discipline. The words– “I am your home”– penetrated deeper than any blade ever could, striking at the core of the loneliness he had carried for six years. “Gods, Amelia,” he breathed against her mouth, his voice cracking completely. “You have no idea what you are offering. This place– it has been burning for years.”
His thrusts became more desperate, driven by the overwhelming emotions of finally hearing those words from the one person who still saw him as human. “Youa re my home,” Luz repeated hoarsely, burying his face in the curve of her neck. “The only one I have ever had. And now you are here telling me to come back.” Amelia moaned loudly, her inner walls fluttering around him. “Luz,” she muttered lost in the ecstasy of their shared intimacy. The sound of his name on her tongue, lost and breathless with pleasure, was a balm to wounds Luz had not realized were still bleeding. The crimson in his eyes softened completely, replaced by the warm amber.
