Chapter Thirteen

"Dimitri, no more VAMP speeding around the house" Mom was scolding Dimitri.
"But mom" he tried to defend himself but Mom interrupted
"Dimi upstairs or else your dad will hear this."
As soon as mom mentioned Dad, Dimitri grumbled his way upstairs.
"Damon, you too. Upstairs now."
"Mom"
"Don't provoke me Hybrid or you'll be grounded. We both know you don't want that now, do you?" She was really angry. I quickly shook my head.
Dimitri and I were really close and also inseparable. We can't leave eachother for one minute. I love my brother too much. We protected eachother all the time.
"Damon, we can't stay at home"
"What do you suggest Dimitri?"
"Let's go hunting" he suggested. Little did I know that would be last day I'd see him.
Dimitri was brave and funny. He was a full blooded vampire. He loves only family. His code when we were fighting together against bad boys was 'together and always'
He had my back as do I.
We attended human schools. No one knew we were vampires until after the death of Dimitri.
Dimitri was the bravest one and I was the intelligent one.
We went animal hunting. We didn't know that there was wolf hunters in the forest. I was in my wolf form. I ran with my brother and I entered a trap.
"Wolf trap?" Dimitri shouted. The hunters came out.
"Don't you dare move boys. The cage is made of silver. I know your wolf doesn't want that, does it?" I looked in confusion. He doesn't know that I'm a special wolf. My wolf has been trained to absorb silver.
I opened the lock with my hands after turning into my human self. I came out and the hunters gasp.
"How did you do that?" I shrugged at the hunter that asked.
"Special abilities" I answered.
"It's only the Prince that has such ability." another hunter said.
"They are the twins. Dimitri and Damon. Agrippa's sons." One hunter said in realization.
"Kill them" the first hunter said.
"No Marshal, if the King finds out, your daughter Hayley would pay. You don't want that. Do you?" A hunter said.
"I think he's right Marshal. I heard your daughter is beautiful. She would be a nice catch, I'm sure of that." My grandpa said out of nowhere.
"Grandfather" we went to him.
"You both are grounded but as for you Marshal, you'd be regretting the minute you tried to kill my sons" They started fighting.
Grand PA told us to leave and we did. We ran home but on our way, we were ambushed by Marshal again. How did he get here before us?
"What do you want?" Dimi asked.
"The wolf" he answered.
"Over my dead body will I allow you take my brother"
"So be it." Marshal decided. He shoot an arrow to Dimitri but he dodged. We wrestled with Marshal for an hour. He became weak.
He took a wooden stake and staked Dimitri's heart and he fell to the ground.
"No" I roared. I went to Marshal and gave him the beating of his life. He was already losing his breath.
"Now listen Marshal, I heard you have a two year old daughter. She'll suffer worse than what Dimitri suffered. I'll kill her and your precious wife."
"No please, don't kill her. She's innocent" he begged.
"It's too late for that, don't you think? Rest In Peace" I smiled wickedly before pulling his heart out.
I ran to Dimitri. "No Dimitri, Wake up."
"Damon, my brother. I love you. Take care of mom and dad. Tell them I love them always" I smiled sadly.
"Together and always." I fist bomb him.
"Together and always"
"Good bye Damon" he closed his eyes and welcomed death.
I ran home and saw mom. "Damon, what happened?"
"Dimitri is dead"
My mom fell and wept calling Dimitri's name.
Dad came in with Dimitri's corps in his hands.
My dad doesn't cry but today he wept like a baby.
I made up my mind to kill Hayley and her beloved mother.
We buried Dimitri the next day but we have a special time and date when we vampires celebrate Dimitri's death. It's called DIMITRI'S BRAVERY.
PRESENT DAY.
I had the plan on taking my revenge but when I found out that she was my mate, I knew it was impossible. I have to do something that will make her hate me.
I have too and I will.
Hayley's POV.
After I came back from work, I took a bath and rested for an hour before heading down stairs.
Lucy and I planned on making dinner.
Damon arrived later. After the encounter on our making out in Damon's office, I couldn't look him straight in his eyes.
When he came back from work, I hid behind the fridge before he sees me.
We finished making dinner and Damon came down stairs.
"Hmm" he hummed.
I tried to escape but he flashed in front of me which resulted in me gasping.
"Going somewhere?" I shook my head 'no'
"Are you scared of me?" I shook my head.
"Then why did you hid behind the fridge?"
"Nothing"
"Then why were you hiding from me?"
"Nothing"
"Ok" he pressed his lips on mine and I was on cloud nine.
I stopped the kissing by pushing him away.
"What happened?" I shook my head.
"Damon, the food is getting cold."
"f**k it Hayley. You drive crazy." He bent his head to my level and kissed me.
His kisses became passionate and we ended up having a passionate make out session.
"I love you" I said to him but he didn't answer. I turned to look at him only to see he was fast asleep.
I drifted to sleep after staring at his beautiful face long enough forgetting about the dinner.
I woke up the next morning only to see Damon staring at me. I screamed and fell of the bed.
"Good morning." He greeted.
"Don't ever scare me like that" he smiled.
"Master Damon, we have a problem. Your Father needs you." Magnes said after teleporting into the room.
"I'm on my way. Let me get dressed" Magnes nodded while Damon kissed me before leaving.
"Actually Hayley, It's you the King wants to see"
"Why"
"Not now. I'll tell you after we reach our destination. Please come with me. Your parents are there also"
I nodded and entered the portal.
