“So, do you have a girlfriend?” Emerick asked me as he leaned back in his wheelchair.
“I do but you’re a little too young for her so don’t even think about doing anything weird.” I replied then heard a few laughs around the table. Emerick, Xavier, Maddison and Georgia weren’t even teenagers yet but it was fun to tease them.
“Porter could have a chance.” Lara pointed out. They were the older ones who were basically in charge of looking after everyone else tonight. Porter is a senior in high school and Lara is a year behind him so hopefully they are responsible enough.
“I’m not looking for a girlfriend.” Porter replied then readjusted his black glasses. He was partially blind but he could see enough to not need any immediate help.
