Feeling lost

~POV Abby~

I opened my eyes to light warming my face, I stretched and sat up in bed. I knew I was almost late for breakfast when I heard my brothers comming down the stairs, fighting as usual. I grabbed my phone and got up to go to the bathroom, sadly I dont have time to shower so just brushing hair and teeth should work.

I put my hair up into a sleek pony and went to get dressed. It was early April so I threw on some shorts and a short sleeved shirt. Just before I left my room I looked at my phone, 6:45am. I had a text from Kristen *We need to meet as soon as possible, im freaking out!* I grabbed my jacket, I had a bad feeling, she doesn't ever freak out like this. *Can we talk about it over breakfast? I'm starving*

~POV Kristen~

After our talk dad sent me upstairs to put something nicer on, of course he wants me dressed up when he tells the pack he's giving me away. The red mountain pack is the worst pack around us, I dont even understand why they would want me. From what I understand the alphas son is years older then me, and im not the only eligible girl in my pack.

I grabbed a white sundress from my closet and started to put it on when my phone went off, Abby texted me back *Can we talk about it over breakfast? I'm starving* I didnt have time to text back before dad yelled for me. I went down to the main floor dining hall and dad motioned for me to sit at the main table with him and the man from last night.

It was finally 7 and they brought the food out while the rest of the pack came in. Abby came in and made eye contact with me, when she started to head my way. Seeing this, dad scowled at her and shook his head. she frowned and went to sit by her brothers. once everyone had gotten sat down dad said our usual blessing to the gods, and kept standing. Once he was sure everyone was really paying attention he started to talk.

"So as you all know my only daughter turns 18 tomorrow" The pack clapped and cheered. " I am not done" He said in his Alpha voice. "She will not be celebrating here with us, tomorrow morning she will be taken to the red mountain pack lands. She will be meeting her new husband, and bringing our packs closer." The pack looked puzzled and worried, they stayed silent once he finished and began to eat when he sat back down.

After breakfast I went outside for a walk, Abby followed me out. "Why the hell didn't you tell me? You already know who your mate is?" No Abby, dad said they threatened to kill us and this was the only way to avoid it, I said sadly. She looked down at the ground "When did you find out?" This morning before the sun came up. Dad mind linked me and told me to come back to the house and pack. Abby I have to go pack, will you come with me? She nodded "I'll meet you there I have to run home and grab something" I said Alright, and I started the short walk back.

Once I got back to the pack house there were two black SUVs parked in the drive. I payed them no mind and walked up to my room, making sure to avoid the main living area, as I could here my dad talking to some people. I wanted to be sure I didn't have to answer unwanted questions.

~POV Abby~

I ran back to my house as fast as I could, my dad was the Beta of the pack and I had to see what he knew. "DAD!" I yelled as I made it threw the door, but mom was the only one to answer.

"Whats wrong dear? your dads at the pack house meeting with the Alpha." Once I got into her view she knew exactly what it was. "Why are they sending Kristen with those terrible wolves? Why did Alpha agree!" "I'm assuming she told you what she knows" I nodded " He wouldn't have sent his only daughter if he didn't have too, and sadly the Alpha sometime has to make hard decisions like this." I felt defeated as I walked into my room. I grabbed a few things for her and headed back to the pack house.
