Episode 17: Echoes of Heartbreak

235 Words
As the light faded, Aria and Kieran found themselves in the middle of the moment that had shattered two lives and cursed countless others. They stood frozen, invisible observers as the seamstress severed the crimson thread with shaking hands. “No!” the samurai roared, his voice filled with anguish. He lunged forward, but it was too late. The thread fell to the ground, glowing faintly before disintegrating into nothingness. The seamstress dropped the scissors, collapsing to her knees. “I’m sorry,” she sobbed, clutching the remnants of the thread. “I thought I was saving you.” The samurai’s gaze softened despite the pain etched into his features. He knelt beside her, his hands resting on her trembling shoulders. “You’ve destroyed us both,” he said quietly. “I would have endured anything for you—for us.” The room began to darken, the memory unraveling. Aria felt the weight of the seamstress’s grief as if it were her own. Tears streamed down her face, her chest tightening. Kieran turned to her, his voice filled with determination. “This can’t be how it ends for us. We have to change it.” “But how?” Aria asked, her voice trembling. A voice echoed in the darkness—Yuna’s voice. “By choosing differently when the time comes. Your bond is stronger than their fear... if you let it be.”
