Episode 12: Reflections of the Soul

211 Words
Aria’s breath caught as she turned toward the voice. No one was there. She looked back at the mirror, her reflection rippling like a disturbed pond. Slowly, the image began to shift. In the mirror, she saw a woman dressed in a simple kimono, her hands trembling as she worked on an intricate red thread. Tears streaked her face, and her lips moved as though pleading. Behind her stood a man in samurai armor, his expression a mix of love and despair. “Is that... me?” Aria whispered, stepping closer to the mirror. The voice returned, soft but firm. “The seamstress. Her choices bound your soul to this thread. She believed she was protecting him, but her actions unraveled more than she knew.” The mirror rippled again, and this time Aria saw herself standing with Kieran, the crimson thread connecting them. It glowed brightly but frayed at the edges, as if struggling to hold on. “What does this mean?” Aria asked, her voice trembling. “The bond between you is fragile,” the voice said. “Only trust and truth can restore it. Without them, history will repeat itself.” The room began to fade, the mirror’s images lingering as Aria was pulled back into darkness.
