EPISODE TWO

"Ah, Xavier. Thanks for being prompt," President Vance said, his harsh tone suddenly softening. Xavier closed the door silently and walked over, standing rigidly beside my chair. He didn't even glance down at me. It was almost like I was a piece of furniture. "This is Alexander Mercer," Vance said, gesturing toward me. "Alexander, this is Xavier. He is a straight-A student, our top athlete, and your guide for the day." He turned to Xavier. "Xavier, please ensure he receives his uniform, understands the schedule, and is dropped off at the residential hall." "Understood, sir," Xavier said. His voice was low, smooth, and completely devoid of any warmth. It sent a weird, defensive shiver down my spine. Hoping to break the ice and maybe prove I wasn't just some delinquent, I scrambled out of my chair. I turned to face him, plastering on my friendliest, most easygoing expression. "Hey, man. I'm Alex," I said, extending my right hand for a handshake. Xavier didn't move. I stood there with my hand hanging awkwardly between us. I watched his eyes track down to my hand, linger on it for a brutal three seconds, and then slide back up to my face. His brow twitched into a frown. Without breaking eye contact, Xavier deliberately adjusted the cuff of his own blazer, completely ignoring my hand. "Follow me," Xavier mumbled. He turned on his heel and marched out of the office before I could even process what had just happened. My hand dropped to my side. I stared after him for a second, completely stunned. Handsome? Sure. But he's an absolute asshole, I muttered in my head, glaring at the empty doorway. I ripped my duffel bag off the floor, throwing it over my shoulder as I hurried after him. Wouldn't want to keep the prince waiting. I clearly heard Vance say he volunteered, but right now, it looked more like Vance had held a gun to his head when he asked him. "Where are we going?" I asked from behind. "To the residential hall." As Xavier led me to the residential hall, I noticed that the people we came across greeted him politely, and Xavier acknowledged most of them with nothing more than a brief nod. I watched him carefully from behind and why'd to do that because in my old school, we'd never. "Do people always act like that or it's just you?" I asked and waited, expecting him to at least ask what I meant. But not even the slightest sound was heard. He ignored me. I sighed and asked anyway. "Why are they acting like you're some kind of celebrity?" Then, he stopped. For a moment, he simply stared back at me, his dark eyes drifting through me. Then he turned around and continued walking. I blinked. Okay, that was weird. I hurried to catch up. "So, what do you guys do for fun around here?" He kept walking. "Any mixers with a sister school? Parties? Anything involving people who don't look like they're ready to enlist in the army?" I said and giggles. Xavier didn't stop walking. He didn't even blink, and not a word came from him. I rolled my eyes annoyed. I studied him from behind. Does you ever talk? And why does he look so pale? He had barely said five words since we'd left Vance's office. It was like walking around with a ghost. I decided to give up. If he wanted to act like a human-shaped wall, that was his business. Eventually, we reached the residential hall. When we arrived at room 128, Xavier pulled a key from his pocket and unlocked the door. "This is your room." I stepped inside and dropped my duffel bag onto the floor. The room was sparse and functional, with two identical beds, two matching reading desks, and a large wardrobe that covered almost an entire corner. A bathroom was tucked into the side of the room. "Wait, I have a roommate?" I frowned. Xavier gave a single, slow nod. My shoulders dropped. I absolutely hated the idea of sharing a room. I'd been hoping for a room of my own, but apparently, that was too much to ask. I immediately started wondering what my roommate would be like. Hopefully, he wouldn't be anything like the pale, boring guy standing in front of me, who looked like it took a physical effort just to open his mouth. "Take off your clothes," Xavier said suddenly, cutting through my thoughts. I blinked, completely thrown off. "What?" Xavier looked at me as if I'd just asked the most stupidest question. "Take off your clothes," he repeated. "Wait." I stared at him. "You're asking me to strip off? For what?" He stared back at me, his expression deadpan, possessing a terrifying calmness. Then he gestured toward my clothes. "You are wearing mufti. They violate the school dress code." He walked over to the wardrobe, pulled out a neatly folded uniform, and placed it on the bed. "Change into that before I show you around." I stared at the uniform, then back at him, letting out a heavy sigh. "Fine. But you'll have to wait outside while I change." "And why is that?" he asked, his voice completely flat. I gave him a look. "Because I'm changing?" "Aren't we both boys?" He hesitated, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Or..." His gaze flicked over me. "Are you hiding something?" My mouth fell open. "What?" "I said—" "I heard you," I said curtly. I pointed toward the door. "I still insist you leave the room. Or at least turn around." Just when I thought he was actually going to leave, Xavier turned and walked straight to the bed. He sat down, crossed his arms over his chest, and locked his eyes on me. I crossed my arms too, leaning my back firmly against the wall. "Fine, then. I'm not changing either." Xavier didn't argue. He simply stared, his gaze dropping briefly to the watch on his wrist. Then, slowly, he rose to his feet and stepped toward me. I remained against the wall, watching him approach. He stopped inches away. I glanced up, fully expecting him to turn around and walk out the door. But he didn't. Instead, his hand reached toward the waistband of my trousers. I gasped, panic flaring in my chest. My nose was barely an inch away from his dark hair as he leaned in. "Wh... what are you doing?" Before I could move, his fingers caught the zipper. There was a sharp metallic click as my trouser zipper slid down the track. Stiff with shock, I froze. "What the hell—" I grabbed his wrist and tried to push him away, but he barely moved. He was much stronger than I expected. With one quick motion, he pulled the zipper down and tugged at the trousers, forcing them down to my feet. I shoved him back with all the strength I had. He finally stepped away. I stumbled and quickly threw my hands down to cover c**k, hiding behind my boxers. "What the hell is wrong with you?" I yelled. Xavier didn't even flinch. He simply looked at me, completely unfazed, his gaze slowly tracking down to where my hands were desperately covering.
