People swarm around the room as they talk with one another while some remain seated while some are standing. I couldn’t even focus my attention because of the amount of visitors to come for the last day’s funeral. I didn’t know that Lola became that much well known after I left because there are some fresh faces.
Since our arrival the other night, my friends have been nothing but really helpful. They have been completely assisting the visitors who came to have a last look at Lola before we bury her tomorrow in the cemetery. I really thought that letting them sleep in our home here in Ilocos with the guys in thin mattresses and the girls on the floor is already too much but helping us out during the funeral when they are visitors themselves is much more.
