Dinefwr Castle, A.D. 935-936 The mason stood with arms akimbo and stared up at the ruined castle. “It has a fine prospect, lord, and this mountain chain will supply us with all the stone we need or my name isn’t Tegyn. Now, I must inspect the site.” He strolled up the trail leading to the castle, stopping occasionally, dragging a boot across the earth and muttering to himself until, at last, he came to the arched entrance which, as he declared, was still serviceable.
