THE MISSION

CHAPTER FOUR

"YOU LOOK so down, buddy." Calvin glared at his friend, when he heard his voice but his glare turn into a smug smirk when Kane handed him a beer in can.

Calvin is still thinking on how to be close to her, it's been three days but he still can't think an other way on how to be close on her. But even though they're aren't close, Calvin is always around to look for her and protect her. Bryle isn't aware that he's always around her, this past few days Calvin knew that Bryle is distancing herself to him.

"What happened? Care to tell me?" Kane said again that made Calvin sighed before he tell it to his friend except on important details, and instead of the mission— he said that he like someone and that 'someone' think that he's a dangerous man.

Kane tsked before he started giving some tips for his friend, Calvin smirked when one of Kane's tip caught his attention and that gaves him idea on what should he do. That was the best way to do, so that he'll clean his image on Bryle who's thinking that he's an enemy.

Calvin gave his friend a fist bump, "thanks, buddy. Maybe I should leave now, your tips are useful. I love you!" Kane raise his middle finger to his face because of the last words that made him laugh before he left his friend. He drove his car to the café infront of Marchesa's building and stare at the front of building, he'll wait here until Bryle go out. From his spot, he still seaw the black montero of Bryleen so it means that she's still inside the building.

While eating the brownie that he buy, his phone rang that made his eye brow arched, who the hell are you? I didn't expect phone calls— oh it's his boss.

Calvin cleared his throat before he pick up the call, "good afternoon, Boss." He said in the other line.

"How's the mission?" His boss asked so he immediately answered, "protecting her isn't that easy, padrone. I can't go near to her because she's thinking that I'm an enemy, in that five days— i already killed more than 30 mans, they're tried to harm her. And about the master mind— i'm working for it," Calvin said in a low tone of voice because he's in the public place.

"That's good. But can you go to hawaii this week end? Kill the girl named Tahani Millicent Chua, she's planning to kill a friend of yours." Calvin was about to ask a question but the line ended, a friend of mine? Is that Luther? He's in the hawaii.

Calvin tsked while his eye brow furrowed, who's that Tahani? I should've protect my friend first. But Luther is good in fighting, I'm sure he can defend his self, I should've focus in this mission first.

Calvin back his attention to the black montero but in just one blink, the car is nowehere to be seen that made him stood up, his jaw is clenching while walking towards the parking lot. Where the hell it is? Did i missed her? Argh.

Calvin look around to check the montero but he can't really see where the hell it is, it only means that Bryle already left. But why didn't he notice it? Is his sight isn't that good as before? D*mn this.

He was about to left the parking lot but when he turn around, a cold edge of classic bowie is pointed at his neck that made him stilled for a moment, he's ready to kick and defend his self but when he look at the person infront of him, he became silent, but instead of getting mad of pointing him a blade, Calvin smile on Bryleen who's glaring at him.

"Didn't I told you not to follow me?" She said eith a warn on her voice and kick his tummy that made his back pressed on the wall.

Calvin make an eye to eye contact to her, for him to be aware of her next move. He immediately turn when Bryle threw the blade on his face that made him stunned, woah that was close. Not my handsome face, honey.

Calvin is about to speak but Bryle rush and kick him again but this time Calvin move but he didn't defend his self, he might hurt her.

Kick and another kick until Calvin dropped at the floor and pull her knee, before she fell in the floor because of out balance, Calvin stood up and pull her waist that made Bryle gulped specially when Calvin push her gently at the wall.

Calvin lean closer to her a smirked, they're so close and for some reason Calvin like it— he wanted to stay at this position.

BRYLE DIDN'T expext his fast movements specially when he pulled her waist and push her at the wall. Her heart is beating like a crazy when CK lean closer to her, she tried to push her away but CK hold her both hand and he didn't let her go.

Her breath stopped, she's unable to move, and her mind became blank when a soft lips crashed against her lips. Her mind is telling her to pushed him but her body didn't cooperate, she can't accept the fact that she like it.

Bryleen became speechless, she stare at him and she didn't know what to do. "I'm following you because I like you— no, erase that. I already fall, Bryle. It may sounds creepy but I'm stalking you ever since I saw you, I didn't follow you because I want to hurt you."

Seems like Bryle became dumb for a couple of seconds, her brain didn't function well after hearing his words. D-Did he just confess? What the hell?

"Stop, taking drugs. You ***hole!" She grab her wrist and took her phone in her pocket to ca her doctor, she felt something strange and it's new to her, she can't explain it.

"Good afternoon, Bryle. How are yo—" she didn't let her doctor finish then she speak, "I felt something strange." She said and look at Calvin who's staring at her, her eyes fall at his kissable lips that made Calvin smirked. Her cheeks burn in shyness, she pushed him and run away, she left him without uttering anywords.

When she enter her car, the doctor asked her if what is happening because he heard her running, beside of being her doctor— he's also her friend so it's normal to worry.

"Doc, I felt something unfamiliar feeling earlier. That was the first time I felt it. I can't explain it, my heart is beating fast and— uhmm I don't know. But trust me, I feel something!" She said happily, she can't believe it! Her case didn't have chance to heal, but seems like she's turning into normal person. She just feel something! Should I thanks CK? But— he didn't do anything, whatever.

"I want to believe you but it's imposible. Care to tell me what happened?" The other line said that made her pout, this is embarrassing. Should I tell him? No way, her doctor is a guy.

"Someone is keep following me so I decide to do something to warn him, I pointed him a knife on his neck and kick him. But he move so darn fast then he pull my knee and push me at the wall, that's it." She said and shut her eyes for lying. She's not good when it comes to lying.

Then what happened earlier flash in her mind that made her think, is he mean it? Tsk, whatever it is I'll just let him. Feelings fade, I'm not likable person.

I mistake him as a dangerous man without knowing his reason, I feel sorry. I remember what happened in the café, he protect me to those jerks. He even trust me and handed me his own gun to me without thinking twice.

"Are you okay now? Damn! Check your body if you're bleeding! Where are you? Tell me the location, i'll be there!" The other line said that made her smile, her doctor is worry.

"Thanks for your worry but I'm all good, Doc.Sevi. So what's with that feeling, doc?" She asked to change the topic, Sevi; her doctor, sighed before he answered.

"Maybe because you're shock and you feel nervous wich is normal to humans, but in your case you didn't feel anything emotional and physical, that's why i don't know what to say. i'll do some research later, Bryle. Keep safe always, okay?" Her lips curved into a small smile hearing those words from her doctor.

"Okay, thank you. I'll hang up now, bye!" Then she ended the call and lead the way at their house. When Bryle enter her room she immediately sat at the floor thinking of what happened earlier, she gasped again in surprise and touch her lips when she remember how soft his lips is.

She stood up and look at her own reflection at the mirror, "is he really serious?" She asked her self.

Bryleen let out a deep sighed thinking that Calvin is just playing around. She enter the bathroom and took a half bath in the bath tub for more than 30 minutes thinking of what happened earlier, she can't forget it! Even at the dinner her mind is still thinking about it, before she sleep she's thinking about it, and worst even in her dream!

When morning came she slowly opened her eyes when the alarm clock rang. Early in the morning her heart is beating fast because of her dream, it's Calvin and the kiss!

"Ahhh!" She scream while stamping her feet at the bed. She didn't know what to do and it's frustating her! And this strange feeling is making her uncomfortable, this is the first time and she didn't like the feeling!

Bryle lay her body again at the bed but her phine rang that made her eye brow furrowed, she's planning to sleep again but her plan ruined because of this unknown caller.

"Hey, good morning." A baritone voice from the other line said that made her stilled, she didn't have to guess who the hell is it.

"Am I dreaming? Oh gosh, this can't be. This is hust a dream, dream, dream..." She keep uttering until she heard the other line speak, "how did you get my number? You're creepy." She said but the other line laugh.

"Darling, i have my ways." He said that gives shiver on her spine, "eww cringe! Don't call me that again, you creepy jerk!"

Then she ended the call, but CK called again that made her scream in frustation but instead of picking up his call, Bryle block the number so that he can't call him again.

Bryle massage her forehead and let out a sighed, "he's creepy." She utterred. CK just pop up on her life, he's like a mushroom that just pop up and that's it. She's not aware that she have a stalker, she's aware that CK is always roaming around but she just getting a nice timing to warn him. He already warn him last last night but he didn't listen, so she warn him again yesterday then he confess, then now he just call my number!

"Did he just getting creepy day by day?" Bryle whisper before she stood up and enter the bathroom to do her morning routine. After that, she's planning to go in Doc. Severion hospital.

She want to know what is happening in herself. And that strange feeling happened again, just now. It's either she's turning into normal or her condition became more deadly, she's worried about her self.

After doing her morning routine, Bryle enter her walk in closet and look for a dress to wear. It's a rainy day so she choose the long sleeve cream puffed dress. It's her day off that's why she's planning to walk anywhere whole day.

She pair the dress with brown knee strap heels and a white shoulder bag— then she look at her own reflection at the mirror, Bryle shrugged before she left her room.

Like as usual her parents aren't here because they're already at the office so she just left the house and drove her car at the Morelli's hospital to visit her doctor and ask some things on him.

She didn't bother to ask a nurse if Doc. Sevi is there because she saw his car outside, she walk directly to his office and knock three times, "good morning, doc." She said with a smile on her lips, the doctor arched his eye brow. Maybe he's stunned because of my smile? I didn't smile before.

The doctor smile at ger and ask her to take a sit so she obligated.

"I still have no answer about what you feel, Bryle. But maybe it's just a psychological response; your brain responding to this person. That's it, that's why you felt something. You don't have to worry, our brain is automaticaly responding. You're also like us, the different is just your condition." The doctor said that made her nod, but why does my brain didn't respond when I'm talking to my parents? What's with Calvin?

"Oh that's it? It already answer my question, thanks doc! I have to go then," Bryle said and laugh a little.

"Too early to leave. How are you? It's been a month since the last time you visit," the doctor said, she smile before she answer.

"I'm good. Nothing happened, i just studied different emotions. As you can see I can smile and laugh," she said that made Doc. Sevi smile.

And they talk and talk about random stuff for almost an hour but it all stopped when her phone rang. When she look at the screen, it's unknown so she's thinking twice if she'll answer it but at the end she choose not to pick up the call.

But the caller didn't stop, and call her again and again. "Answer it. Maybe it's important," Doc. Sevi said that made her nod and excuse her self for a minute, she shut her eyes in frustration when she heard CK's voice again!

Out of annoyce she threw her phone at the trashcan while the call is still going on. She didn't care at all. Then she enter the office again but Doc is already talking to someone at the call, so she just tell him that she'll leave and gesture a good bye.

She left her car at the hospital and choose to walk at the street, the puddle of rains and the people holding umbrella's made the street aesthetic for her. She want to take a picture of it but sadly she threw her phone. And that's what she did whole day— walking around and not minding people around her. She was about to go back at the hospital but she got stock at the small waiting shed when the rain from the sky starting to fall.

"Rainy day is so beautiful," she utter while playing with the rain fall. She's satting at the waiting shed while waiting for the rain to stop. But she didn't expect that she'll get stock on that place for more than an hour, she's feeling cold and it scares her— she might get sick— having a sick in her condition is more dangerous than being stab by a knife.

She didn't notice that the surroundings turn into dark, only few people is around but the rain is still pouring. What time is it?she can't call someone to pick her up because she already threw her phone.

Bryleen sat at the waiting shed and wait for an hour again, she didn't know what time is it, but she's sure that it's already late.

She embrace herself when the cold breeze of air kissed her body, she's starting to feel unwell and starting to sneeze. Her vision is became blurry and she knew that she'll lost her conscious anytime.

Before she black out she still saw CK's worried face, he cupped her chun and asked her some question but she can't answer it and she can't hear it clearly, he take off his coat and put it on her shoulder. That was the last thing she remember before everything turns into dark...
