Chapter 12Jyran ran over the branches of a huge oak tree, went as far out on the twigs as he could, leaped, and landed on a branch of the next tree. He was careful not to put more weight than he had to on his left. Gideon trotted in wolf form below him, and happiness soared in Jyran’s chest. It wouldn’t be easy. There were still things they needed to overcome, but as they’d left the cabin, before Gideon’s pack had slunk off into the woods, he’d made it clear to everyone that Jyran was coming with him.
