Chapter 9

Just then Sam came bursting through the door panting heavily. We all looked to him but he didn’t seem to notice us. His eyes landed on Daisy and he froze. She smiled and opened her arms. Sam was in her arms before we could blink. Once their skin touched his eyes widen and he jumped back. “It can’t be.” Sam breathed. “Hello Mate. I’ve been waiting on you as well. The goddess said I would have to wait even though I wasn’t being very patient.” Daisy smiled sweetly at Sam. “Now that the prophecy will be fulfilled, we can be together.” Sam looked at her like she was insane. Before he could say anything, Daryl spoke excitedly. “Apparently Angel is going to unite us all so we can find our mates in other races.” “Daryl is right Sam. It seems that our little one is part of a prophecy that will bring peace to us all.” “Jack you can’t be serious.” Sam sounded skeptical but hopeful. “It is true my mate. She has already found two of her mates so it has begun.” Sam looked at me for the first time. He noticed Jeremy’s hand intertwined with mine and Jackson hugging me from behind. He looked at each man touching me with wide eyes. “There’s no way that will work. We are too possessive of our mates. Every male in any race is. I heard that prophecy a long time ago but never believed it. No one could share a mate. Why would the wiccans let her out of their sight if she was that powerful?” Just then another man entered the room. He was taller than Jeremy, maybe six foot seven or so and fit. I watched as he surveyed the room. His skin looked like it had a blue tint to it but that could have been my eyes playing tricks on me. I couldn’t see his eyes because of the sunglasses he wore. A women followed behind him closely. She had the same skin as the man but with a reddish tint. She was taller than me, by a few inches at least. Both had longer hair, his was white while hers was maroon in color. “Sam? Is this the young lady you told us about?” Her voice sounded lovely, like a melody playing. “Yes that’s her. But it looks like they broke the spell already.” Sam had returned to staring at Daisy even though he answered. “Well, even if we are no longer needed, I would very much like to meet her.” She was looking at me curiously. I extracted myself from my mates and walked to her. I stopped far enough away so I could still keep the man in my line of sight but not be rude to our guests. Her violet eyes held curiosity and excitement. I smiled and focused on her. “They call me Angel. I apologize that we have disturbed you for nothing. It seems that someone was waiting to help me and we did not know it. I hope that we didn’t pull you away from anything important.” My tone was polite even though I was on edge. “Angel? I like it but I don’t think that is your true name. I am Isabelle and this is my husband Luther. We were only taking a walk when Sam found us. It was most exciting to hear that we might have to break a wiccan spell. We, Fae, love the challenges that a wiccan spell presents.” “It is my pleasure to meet you and your husband Isabelle. The spell that made me sleep is broken but there is another blocking my memories. If you would like to explore it I wouldn’t mind. Actually, I would be grateful for your help if you have the time.” Isabelle’s face lit up and she squealed. Her husband chuckled and removed his glasses covering his ice blue eyes. “You have just made her night Miss Angel. It is a pleasure to meet you as well.” “I’ll need to exam the spell in your mind. So let’s make you comfortable so we can get started. I’m so excited!” I giggled at her enthusiasm. Luther motioned to the bed with a smile and a bow. I smiled back and nodded. I trusted them, even though I wasn’t sure why. Before I could move however, Jackson swept me into his arms and placed me in the center of the bed. “Wonderful! Let’s get started. I will need you to relax and allow me into your mind. Luther will watch over me as I attempt to unravel the spell. He isn’t very good with spells anyway.” Isabelle laughed as she teased her husband. “This may feel strange to you since you aren’t used to this. Well maybe you are but we don’t know.” “It’s alright Isabelle. I will do my best to relax and not make things difficult. Please do not put yourself in danger though. I would hate to have anything happen to you because you tried to help me. If it looks dangerous for you, then leave it alone. I will figure it out eventually.” I smiled at her and closed my eyes to relax. “Oh I like her. We’re going to be great friends, I can just feel it!” I smiled even if I couldn’t see her expressive face light up. I felt Jeremy and Jackson nearby but not touching me. I tried to ignore them and focus of relaxing my muscles. I wasn’t sure if it would help but it was the only thing I could think to do. I felt something warm along my body which helped to relax me further. The warmth seemed to sink into my body making me tense up a little. It felt strange but there was no evil intent that I could feel. Then I felt the same excitement that Isabelle exuded, it was her inside my body. I could almost see her beautiful eyes in my head. She wasn’t really talking to me but I could feel her emotions. She was soothing me and so proud that I was able to let her in without hesitation. I relaxed further as I felt her reach the spell blocking my memories. She seemed to be searching for something. I could feel her frustration as she continued her search. I wasn’t sure how long we spent like that but the frustration grew as time went on. I began to feel anxious out of nowhere. Something was going to happen and it wouldn’t be good. Then she was gone. My eyes opened and I could see Isabelle looking at me with a shocked expression. “How did you do that? She pushed me out before the trap could activate. I didn’t see it until it was too late.” “What do you mean my love. What trap?” Luther sounded worried as he pulled Isabelle into his arms. “It was very subtle. I was searching for a way into the spell but it kept changing to keep me out. I finally found a small opening and was going to start working on it when I noticed the trap. Then she pushed me out so it wouldn’t hurt me.” I had sat up while she was talking which made Jackson and Jeremy climb onto the bed with me. “I thought you had pulled away. I felt like something was wrong so I was going to say something but then you were gone. I thought you pulled back.” Luther and Isabelle exchanged a glance and then both of them looked at me with awe. “You must be powerful indeed. No one can push Isabelle away. Her will is too strong.” “The spell on your memories is strong and complicated. We would need more than just me to try and break it. I don’t know who placed it there but they didn’t want it to break accidently. Luther and I will reach out to our friends and see if we can come up with a solution. If we worked as a group then we might be able to bring some of it down enough for you to break it yourself. No one should attempt to break it alone though. There might be more traps hidden within the spell. Luther let’s go. I want to start researching this right away. I have to help her.” “Of course we will help her my love. Miss Angel, please heed her warning. We will do what we can and reach out to you when we know more. Please take care of yourself until then.” Luther and Isabelle waved goodbye as they left. Linking their hands on the way out, I could hear the excitement in Isabelle’s voice as she laid out a plan to help me. I could also hear Luther chuckling at his wife. I really liked the couple, they were good people…Fae. Looking around the room I couldn’t see any of the others. How long were we working on the spell? “Roy and Daryl went to their own room to get some sleep. Phillip went to our room to do the same. And Sam took Daisy off somewhere. We have this room to ourselves little one.” “A friend of mine owns this house chere. He’s letting us borrow it for now so we can rest. We didn’t know what to do when we couldn’t wake you so we came here. Sam knew Luther and Isabelle lived in the area so we thought it was the best option. “ “I understand. Can you show me the bathroom so I can wash up? I don’t think I’ll be sleeping anytime soon.” I shivered as the memory of the spell invaded my thoughts. “I think we all need to clean up. Shower time?” I laughed at Jeremy as he pulled me off the bed towards another door. “So now you’re willing to shower with me? Maybe I wanted to be alone.” I swatted his chest as I teased him. “Not a chance chere. You owe me for scaring me so much.” He placed me on a counter and turned to the shower. My happiness was overflowing. The spell hadn’t won and I was back. Jeremy was still by my side and he was being warmer to me now. I also had another mate. That’s when I noticed that Jackson was missing. Jackson? I reached for him my mind as Jeremy turned back to me. He looked around like I did and then rolled his eyes. Yes little one? I could feel the calm in him as we spoke in our minds. Where are you? Jeremy grinned as he realized I was talking to Jackson already. He stripped his clothes off as fast as he could then sauntered over to where he put me. He began slowly undressing me while I tried to figure out why Jackson was in the other room. In the bedroom waiting on you to return. Confusion came through the link we shared. Why? Shouldn’t you be in here with me? I was going to give you some privacy until we could talk my love. I couldn’t help the laugh that came out. Jeremy looked at me curiously as he removed the last piece of cloth from my body. I waved him off. We can talk in the shower. Get in here! Jeremy scooped me up into his arm and walked into the shower. The water felt amazing. He set me on my feet and allowed the water to cascade down my body. I groaned in satisfaction. I heard the shower door open again and turned to see Jackson standing there completely nude. Oh good Lord and Lady! I was in trouble.
