Mikhail stood behind Rosalind while she was bent over the toilet emptying her stomach into it. he had her hair in his left hand while his right hand was rubbing small circles on her back. when she began to heave again Mikhail opened the door to the bathroom and shouted for Natasha for some help. Rosalind lifted her head from inside the toilet and looked at Mikhail to protest him asking Natasha for help because Rosalind knew the older women was downstairs with both Soren and Noah try hard to prepare for the king's arrival that day. Mikhail shook his head at the child who was kneeling to shut up her inevitable protest. He knew Natasha wouldn't mind at all, in fact, she seemed to relish the days Mikhail and his brother being ill, he knew he loved looking after people who were ill.
Natasha entered with Noah and a big sandy-coloured dog who, to Rosalind's surprise, had reddy orange eyes that seem to dance like a flame. this creature must have been the size of a small horse. its coat was long, thick and a sandy brown in colour, his tail dragged on the floor behind him. the sight of the creature made Rosalind shake with fear she knew this was no ordinary dog. the beast walked forwards toward Rosalind but stopped a few paces short of her and laid on his belly and used his back legs to scoot himself forwards so he was laying with his cold, wet nose right next to her shin. Rosalind looks up at Mikhail and Natasha, completely confused but the whole situation. when she looked at Mikhail he had his hand over his mouth stifling a laugh.
"what? what is so funny?" she asked exasperated throwing her hands out to emphasise her point. Mikhail couldn't keep his laughter in any longer and almost fell over in his mirth. pointing at the hound in front of her while wiping the tears of laughter from his cheeks
"that's Soren Rosie" he choked out between laughs. the young girl looked perplexed and blinked dumbfounded, she was beyond confused. she looked down at the hound who was stareing at her with those eerie eyes that were still flickering like flames. she shook her head trying to figure out how Soren turned into ... well the thing in front of her.
"could you change back please?" she asked not really knowing what to do with the information she was presented with. the man she had been living with for two weeks could shapeshift into a giant dog with fire for eyes! Soren looked at the girl through the eyes of his demon form and smirked. this was going to scare the s**t out of her. the beast began to curl up into a ball tightly to the point it began to tear and bleed. Mikhail had always told Soren that the way he shifted from his demon form to his human form was like watching a tarantula moult its skin. Rosalind looked horrified at the sight of what look liked a being of some kind moving around inside the skin of the dog. Natasha gazed at both Mikhail and Soren for allowing Rosie to look at such a horrendous sight. Natasha stepped over her grandson and lifted the girl to her feet and led her out of the room with haste. her had clasped on both of her upper arms leading her out of the bathroom, out of her bedroom and into the hall. Noah followed the girls not wanting to see the transformation process. The trio went through the house and to the kitchen where Natasha sat the shaking red hed at a small table. Noah sat down opposite her and grabbed her hand and began to stroke it tenderly to reassure her that it was okay. Natasha began to boil some water on the stove and then went to a cupboard across the room of a tea diffuser and began to put in different tea leaves, herbs and plants. As she was brewing the tea the young teens began a light conversation about their lives and their likes and dislikes and what they wanted to with their lives if they went in the situation they were in. Natasha listened to their conversation and smiled sadly at them she never liked the way the human was treated. These two young souls were broken into pieces however the more time Natasha spent with them, the more she realised not only had they got wonderful personalities but the both of them had the fiery temper to match. She knows in only a matter of time before they became best friends.
Soren walk through the kitchen doors and gave a sideways glance at the two mortals in the corner. He then glanced at Natasha who was preoccupied with making the pot of tea.
"Grams would you mind making me a cup of that brew please?" he said with a smirk. Natasha shot her great-grandson a glare and smacked him up the side of the head. He chuckles and kissed her on the cheek. Soren walked over to the two teenagers and slid into the chair next to Noah and shone a smile at Rosalind, who blushed. Noah laughed at the interaction between the two.
"Sorry if I gave you a fright earlier little lady" Soren spoke while he swept his hair out of his face, Rosalind just shook her head.
Natasha walked over to the trio and smiled as she gave out the three teas and the plate of biscuits which she placed in the centre of the table.
"So what is the king like?" Rosalind asked while she picked up a biscuit. Soren looked her dead in the eye as his smile dropped. He took a sip of his tea
"He's not exactly a cuddly guy Rose he is stubborn and violent and never listens to reason, but that being said" he looked at Noah and then at Rosalind "he would protect his family and friends fiercely, well if he still has friends depends on how many of those he has drunk dry," he said shooting Natasha a guilty smile when she placed the meat on the side with a loud slap.
"Way to go genius!" Noah said throwing his hands into the air in exasperation "you had to scare her" he shook his head at the male next to him and rubbed his face.
Soren looked over at Rosalind and shrugged his shoulders and smiled nervously at her and said sheepishly "I'm sorry Rose"
