ELLIANA'S POV
"We need to talk," Tom said, his voice serious.
I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "What is it?"
Tom took a deep breath. "I think we should forget about what happened last night."
My eyes widened in shock. "What? Why?"
Tom hesitated. "I don't want to upset my dad. He'll never approve of us being together."
My face fell, tears welling up in my eyes. "So you're just going to pretend like nothing happened?"
Tom nodded. "I think it's for the best."
My tears spilled over, streaming down my face. "Fine," I spat, my voice trembling. "If that's what you want."
Tom reached out to comfort me, but I pushed him away. "Don't touch me," I sobbed.
In a rash decision, I jumped out of bed and grabbed my phone. "I need to get out of here," I said, my voice shaking.
