**Chapter 5**
The hallway had turned into a battlefield, but the moment he spoke, everything stilled.
Celeste stared up at him from where she sat slumped against the wall, her body trembling uncontrollably.
The drug raged through her veins like molten lava, making every inch of her skin hypersensitive.
Her dark curls clung to her flushed cheeks, and her sharp eyes were glassy with a mix of fear and something far more dangerous — raw, unwanted desire.
Theron towered over her, radiating pure dominance. His silver eyes burned as they raked over her disheveled form, lingering on the way her chest heaved and how her thighs pressed together desperately.
“Mine,” he repeated, softer this time, but no less possessive.
He crouched in front of her, ignoring the groaning, half-shifted men scattered around them. One tried to crawl closer, still affected by her scent.
Theron’s hand shot out with blinding speed, grabbing the man by the back of his neck and slamming him face-first into the floor.
“Touch her again and I’ll rip your throat out,” he growled without even looking at the man.
Celeste’s breath hitched. That voice — low, commanding, and velvet-rough — sent another wave of heat crashing through her core. A soft, involuntary whimper escaped her lips.
Theron’s jaw clenched. He could smell her arousal, thick and sweet, mixing with the drug. It was driving him insane.
“Can you stand?” he asked, his tone gentler than she expected, but still laced with steel.
She tried. Her legs shook violently and refused to cooperate. Before she could fall, Theron slid one arm under her knees and the other behind her back, lifting her effortlessly against his chest as if she weighed nothing.
The moment their bodies pressed together, it felt like electricity arced between them. Celeste gasped, her fingers instinctively curling into his expensive black shirt. He was so warm.
So solid. His scent — dark spice, cedar, and something wild — wrapped around her like a drug stronger than the one in her veins.
“Easy,” he murmured against her hair. “I’ve got you.”
He carried her through the chaotic hallway like she weighed nothing, exerting dominance over his territory.
The remaining men who were still conscious quickly averted their eyes and backed away. No one dared challenge him.

Theron Virek
Power is control. And right now, Theron felt his slipping dangerously.
He had been watching Celeste from the moment she entered the club — every smile, every flirtation with the bartender, every swing of her dark curls. She was getting under his skin like no one ever had.
When Reis called with information about the drug, Theron’s blood turned to ice. A failed prototype designed to trigger forced heat. Highly contagious through pheromones. Extremely potent.
By the time he stepped back into the main area, hell had already broken loose.
He watched Celeste fight — fierce even while drugged. But when one half-shifted male charged at her with bared fangs, something primal snapped inside him.
“ENOUGH.”
His voice cracked through the hallway like thunder. The feral men froze, instincts recognizing a far more dangerous predator.
Theron moved through them like a shadow of death, grabbing the one closest to Celeste by the throat and slamming him into the wall.
“Stand down,” he growled at the rest. They obeyed instantly.
He crouched before Celeste. She was trembling, skin flushed deep red, eyes glassy with the drug. Her scent — sweet, intoxicating, desperate — wrapped around him and tested every ounce of his legendary control.
“Can you stand?” he asked, voice rough.
She tried, but her legs gave out. Without hesitation, Theron scooped her into his arms.
The moment their bodies pressed together, fire surged through both of them. Celeste whimpered, instinctively burying her face in his neck and inhaling his scent.
“Hot…” she whispered, voice strained. “So hot…”
Theron’s jaw clenched so hard it ached. He carried her out of the club.
Outside, a sleek black SUV waited. Theron slid into the backseat with her still in his arms, barking orders at his driver and security team.
“Clear the club. Deal with the mess. No one speaks of this.”
The door closed, sealing them in intimate silence. The car pulled away smoothly into the night.
Celeste squirmed in his lap, the heat becoming unbearable. Every shift of her body against his hard thighs made her bite back a moan.
Her skin felt too tight. Her n*****s were painfully sensitive against the fabric of her dress.
What… what did they give me?” she whispered, voice shaky.
“A heat enhancer,” Theron replied, his large hand resting possessively on her hip. “Your scent is driving every unmated wolf in that club insane.”
He tilted her chin up with two fingers, forcing her to meet his silver eyes. “But I own you.”
Celeste’s heart slammed against her ribs. Part of her wanted to fight him — to push away from this dangerous, beautiful stranger.
But the bigger part, the one currently on fire, wanted to bury her face in his neck and beg him to make the aching stop.
“I don’t even know you,” she breathed, even as her body arched slightly into his touch.
“You will.” His thumb brushed her lower lip, sending sparks down her spine. “ You feel the bond, don't you? little mate.”
The car turned into a private underground garage beneath a towering skyscraper.
---
In the private elevator leading to his penthouse, Celeste grew bolder. She pressed herself tighter against him, soft curves molding to his hard body.
Her hands roamed over his chest as needy little sounds escaped her throat.
By the time they reached the master bedroom, Theron’s control was hanging by a thread.
He laid her gently on the king-sized bed, but she refused to let go. She pulled him down on top of her, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and grinding against his thigh.
“Hot…” she moaned again, tugging desperately at her dress.
Theron’s breathing grew ragged. “Little mate… you’re drugged. You don’t know what you’re—”
She cut him off by kissing his neck, sucking on his skin. The sensation shot straight to his c**k.
“f**k,” he hissed.
He tried to pull back, but she followed, flipping their positions so she straddled him. Her dress rode up her thighs as she ground down on the hard bulge in his trousers. The friction made her cry out.
Theron’s hands gripped her hips, fingers digging into soft flesh. “Celeste…”
She was soaking wet. He could feel it through their clothes. Her scent had completely overtaken the room.
With a low growl, he flipped them again, pinning her beneath him. His lips traced a scorching path down her neck while his hands tore away the remains of her dress.
He cupped her breasts, thumbs brushing over hardened n*****s before his mouth followed, sucking and biting gently until she was writhing and sobbing with pleasure beneath him.
Celeste’s hands fisted in his hair, holding him to her as she arched off the bed. The drug had turned her into pure sensation — desperate, needy, and so f*****g beautiful it hurt.
Theron fought himself harder than he’d ever fought anyone. He wanted to claim her completely. To sink into her and mark her as his. But not like this. Not while the drug controlled her.
He pulled back slightly, breathing like he’d run a marathon. Celeste whined in protest, trying to pull him back down.
“Doctor’s coming,” he rasped, voice strained. “We need to get the drug out of your system first.”
But even as he said it, Celeste rocked her hips against him again, seeking friction. The heady scent of her arousal made his vision blur with need.
Theron cursed viciously and pressed his forehead to hers, fighting for control.
“You’re going to be the death of me, little mate.”
Celeste’s eyes fluttered open, dark and hazy with lust and something deeper — recognition.
“Yours…” she whispered, the word slipping out like a confession.
Theron’s entire body shuddered at that single word.
---
Just as he was about to lose the battle against his instincts, a sharp knock sounded at the penthouse door.
The doctor had arrived.
But Celeste chose that exact moment to reach between them, her small hand palming his rock-hard length through his trousers, squeezing boldly.
Theron’s control finally snapped.
