Chapter 5

1030 Words
Darius opened the door to his chambers, his hand on the brunette's back as he guided her inside. His chambers was dimly lit, the only light was coming from a small fireplace at the corner of the room. The air was thick with the smell of smoke. The brunette smiled, her eyes sparkling with excitement,as Darius shut the door behind them. She knew that she had won, and she was determined to make the most of it. Darius's gaze locked on hers, his gaze burning with desire and want. He reached out, his fingers tracing the curves of her body, and pulled her close. Their lips met, their kiss fierce and passionate as they stumbled towards the bed. They fell onto the mattress, their bodies entwined as they explored each other's body. The brunette's name was Vera, and she was a skilled p********e, trained in the art of pleasure. She knew how to pleasure a man, and she was determined to make Darius hers. As they moved together, the sound of their breathing filled the air, and their occasional moans or gasps. The fire crackled and spat, casting eerie shadows on the walls as they lost themselves in the heat of passion. As the night wore on, they moved together, their bodies slick with sweat as they explored each limits. They were two animals, lost in the heat of passion. Finally, as the first light of dawn began to creep over the horizon, they collapsed, their bodies exhausted, their skin slick with sweat. Meanwhile at the dark crescent pack, Greg gathered his councilmen to discuss, the issue at hand- werewolf hunters. "Council members, we've gathered here today to discuss an important matter," Greg said with a serious voice. " Werewolf hunters have been spotted in our territory, we lost a wolf to them yesterday." The council members nodded, their faces rigid. They knew that this was a pressing issue that they needed to deal with right away. "We have sent patrols to track down the hunters and eliminate them," Marcus, Greg's beta spoke. "That's a good plan," said Rachel, the only woman on the council. "We can't let them threaten our pack's safety. The other members nodded in agreement, their voice murmuring in satisfaction. But before they could finalize their decision, Julie, who had been quiet, spoke up. "Why can't we just try to reach an agreement with them," she said, hesitantly. Everyone turned to her, their faces surprised. "Reason with them?" repeated Josiah, his voice incredulous. " Luna, they're hunters. They'll kill us on sight." Julie looked around the room, her eyes pleading for support. "What if we can make them understand? What if we can find a way to coexist?" The council members exchanged amused looks, and Greg felt so embarrassed. "Julie, you've made some... interesting ideas in the past," he said. "But this one...nah. We can't trust those hunters, they were created to kill us." Julie's face fell, tears welled up in her eyes. "You always do this,Greg," she said, her voice trembling. "You never take me seriously." The council members shifted uncomfortably, their eyes avoiding the tension between the Alpha and Luna. "That's enough, Julie," Greg said, his tone firm. "We're discussing pack issues here. Let's focus." Julie stood up, her eyes flashing with anger,as she stormed out of the room. The council members watched her go. "Sorry, Alpha," Marcus said, apologetically. "We'll leave you two to handle.... things." The council members left, leaving Greg alone in the hall. He sighed, and followed Julie's retreating figure. He found her in their quarters, crying into her pillow. "Hey, my love," he said, sitting down beside her. " I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean to hurt you or make you sad." Julie turned to him, her eyes swollen. "You always do this,Greg. I know you miss your first wife, because she was able to contribute to meetings. I'm not her, and I'll never be her." Greg rubbed his forehead in exhaustion, feeling a pang of guilt. "I know, Julie. I'm sorry. I don't mean to. It's just.. you're so different from her, and that's what makes you special." Julie sniffled."Really? You think I'm special?" Greg smiled, wiping her tears away. "Of course,my love. You're my Luna, and I love you for who you are." Julie smiled, and hugged him. "I love you too,Greg." Greg pulled her closer, holding her in his arms like a baby. "I'll try to be better, I promise." She smiled."Ok.” As he stood up to leave she spoke again.”Have you spoken to the Alpha of moonlight pack since the last meeting?” Greg rubbed his forehead, his brows furrowed in concern.”I have tried reaching out, but I have not gotten a reply.” “What does that mean?” She asked as she stood up trying to adjust her dress. “I don't know what it means.” He replied. “You have to do something about it, our daughter is worried sick.”She said, reapplying her lipstick. “I'll try sending another message,”he said. Turning to him she spoke.”Can't you just go personally, you know how much we need this alliance to work.” “It doesn't mean we should look so desperate, I'll just send another message hopefully they reply this time around.”he said, sighing in annoyance. “What if they don't reply, what would be your next line of action then? “I don't know, when the time comes.” He replied. Julie shook her head in annoyance.”Your not taking this seriously,if this alliance doesn't work it'll be so embarrassing.” Greg was already getting angry.”Woman can you relax, the alliance is important to you as it is important to me, do you want people to think that we are trading our daughter for connections?” “I don't want that, I also don't want us to loose this alliance.” Julie said. Turning to the door Greg said.”Just relax and let me handle this, please.” “Ok, whatever do as you please.”she said, rolling her eyeballs at him as he left.
