Darius pinned the girl to the bed,his lips tracing down her neck. He just became alpha, and the rush of power coursed through his veins. The girl beneath him moaned in response to his touch, her body curved in pleasure as he pinned her to the bed, a knock on the door ruined the moment. He growled, baring his teeth. “ What do you want?!” he barked,as he flung the door open, his eyes red with rage. The maid shaking, stood outside the room, her eyes downcast. “Y- your father, Alpha,” she stammered. “He's calling for you. He says it's urgent.” Darius's face twisted in anger, his jaw clenched tightly. He raised his hand, and the maid’s eyes widened realizing her mistake. The slap echoed through the room. She fell to the floor, her head hitting a stone with a loud thud, and laid still. His teeth pressed together as irritation built up. He turned to the girl on his bed,who was watching with fear written all over her face, her hands trembling. ” Get out, now.” he roared, his voice laced with anger and annoyance. ”Your done here.” She scrambled for her clothes, her hands shaking as she tried to wear them. He walked towards her, grabbing her he threw her out of his chambers stark naked. “s**t!” He cursed as he banged his fists on the table beside him. Alone,he turned to the maid, who laid still on the floor, he walked towards her and nudged her with his foot but, she didn't move. “ Weakling,”he said and walked out of the room. Darius strode through the corridors, his boots echoing as he made his way to the grand hall. The air was filled with the scent of earth and decay, a reminder of the secrets that lay hidden within the pack’s walls. As he entered the hall, he was greeted by the annoyed faces of his father and the council members. A gentle smile appeared on his face as he looked at his father who sat on the throne that was meant for him.”Dear daddy, don't you think you've outgrown the throne.” “Silence, show some respect to your father.” Councilman Max barked. Darius turned to Max. “What did you just say?” “I said that you should show your father respect.” Max answered. Darius rushed towards him, and ripped out his head. Chaos spread across the hall as everyone cowered in fear. “What was the need of what you just did?” Fabian, Darius's father asked. The fire from the fireplace glazed and spat, casting shadows on the walls as Darius stood before his father, his eyes locked on his father's. The air was thick with tension, and the council members held their breath, waiting to see what would happen next. “I'm going to say this once, this should the last time I find you on this throne.” Darius said, leaving his father and the other councilmen dumbfounded. “How dare you speak to me this way, no matter who you become I'm still your father.” Fabian said angrily. “You lost the right to be my father a long time ago, and just so you know. I'll be appointing my own council members starting tomorrow.” Darius said as he left the hall. As he strode back to his chambers, memories flooded his mind…. The rain poured down heavily on the forest, casting a dim shadow over the trees as they danced in the wind. The sound of wolves howling in the distance filled the air, echoing through the trees. Luna Elena's body - Darius's mother laid still on the ground, her eyes frozen in a permanent stare. Darius was just 10 years old when he lost his mother, and he didn't understand what was happening, but he knew she was gone. The pack members carried her body away, their faces somber and sad. Darius was taken to the pack's den, where his father waited, crying his eyes out. "She got killed by our enemy clan," he said, his voice heavy with grief. Darius believed him, because he was just a timid child. Fast forward 5 years… The snow fell gently on the tombstones in the packs graveyard, silence in the atmosphere, not a single sound was heard. Darius stood before his mother's tombstone, his eyes tracing the words engraved into the stone."Beloved wife and mother, RIP." Darius was 15 now, and he remembered his mother's death like it happened yesterday. "Mom, I miss you. Dad remarried and my stepmom is not a good person." He spoke as though she was present. After a while of speaking to his mother he turned to leave,as he turned he noticed a faint scratch on the stone, a small mark that looked out of place. He cleaned the snow, revealing a hidden message. "Look for the truth in the old library.” A shiver ran down his spine as he realized that the message was meant for him,a little trail leading to the truth about his mother's death. He'd always found it suspicious that his father remarried immediately after his mother's death. Darius felt a surge of excitement as he made his way to the old library. Darius sat in the dimly lit library, surrounded by dusty books and forgotten memories. The air was thick with the scent of dust, and old books. He was digging through his father's old records, and finally, he found a hidden journal belonging to his father. The pages revealed the truth of his mother's death, how she was killed by his father, just so he could take another wife from a more powerful pack. The journal entries were cryptic, but the truth was clear. Darius slipped the journal into his jacket, his eyes scanned the area for any sign of disturbance, then he slipped out of the library, into the darkness.
