“Any difference? Anything good?" I asked the doctor in dread, and he nodded in the negative.
" I'm sorry, Mrs Rhyde. I'm afraid not. It's the same old story.” He responded, and my heart sank as I shook my head in pain, refusing to let it engulf me.
“I thought you said a month." I asked, my heart was breaking.
“A month or less were my exact words. Something else seemed to be working against her treatment. It could be the new kidney as it is the only foreign object in her body." The doctor added, but my ears had no time for such news as I stood there looking at my mother.
