Chloe spent the next few days avoiding Starry.
She didn’t do it in an obvious way—at least, she hoped it wasn’t obvious. She simply adjusted her routine.
In the mornings, she left her room earlier, making sure she was done with breakfast before Starry came downstairs. During the day, she stayed in her room, focusing on her coursework.
