Chloe sat in Starry’s office for a while, but she wasn’t exactly happy. Even though she had dressed like the perfect fiancée and had come in the expensive car Starry preferred, she still felt unsettled.
She told herself that she had only stopped by to check on him, to see how things were going, but the truth was, she wanted to know more about how things ran in the office. She hadn't exactly come to learn how the company was run today. If she was being honest, she came for the gossip and now, she just learned of Bianca’s visit. There couldn't have been a better gossip than stumbling on domestic staff talking about the lady Bianca who loved to wear a lot of makeup and a lot of jewelry, coming to see the boss and during working hours!
She didn’t bring it up again, though. Instead, she asked
