Mumm

CHAPTER 3

After we left Captain Varges' office, we went to the cafe that had onions stolen.

"Charlee lee I am sorry but stollen onions?" Charlie started.

"I know something isn't right. Why would they want to take onions out of everything at the cafe? Nasty onios?" I said. Then I smelled it. Smoke.

"Charlie get out now." I said, pushing him out the door. The cafe exploded. I hope Charlie was okay.I didn't get out but I was hit with wolvesbane. Lucky no silver or wooden stakes. Who ever did this didn't want to kill me. Just my partner.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the little princess. Time to go home princess." A guy said as he punched me half way, knocking me out and then liffing me up. I saw Taz shake his head and I smiled. If Taz was here then I was safe. Right.

I woke up tied to a bed with silver cuffs. Maybe I wasn't safe. I thought.

"Oh good you are awake. Now Mumm can come talk to you. Oh and so you know, your my wife. Don't tell Mumm any differently or I will kill her and Taz while you watch." He said. Just then, the door opened and his head went rolling on the floor as wolves came in attacking him.

Then Charlie shifted.

"Oh goodness Charlie, you're safe. Your okay." I said as he put on gloves and uncuffed me. I hugged him. For the first time ever, I hugged him. We may be best friends, but we never hug. I heard a growl and let go.

"Thank you Lanora. Thank you Charlie, I am so glad you're safe. What about everyone else here?" I asked. Then Mumm walked in.

"We are all fine. They came to me to help find you. He told me what all happened and as much as I wanted to kill Marko, I let your wolf friends, I said not to harm anyone." She said, shugging. I just turned my head.

"I already know he hit you. Your friend told me," Mumm said. I loved how I could talk with her without saying anything.

"Okay, why does it feel like your having a private conversation?" Charlie asked.

"Because we are. You think only wolves can mindlink? You only wish you that cool." I said laughing. " No no no umm Mumm seems to always know what I want to say when I dont want to say it. I turned my head slowly, showing he had hit me. If I was embarrassed, it would have been fast and I would hide my face." Then I looked around the room, then looked Mumm in the eyes. "And this time I asked." I said.

"She asked where Taz was. He is in the dungeons. They were told NO ONE was to be hurt. You were and they tried to kill a wolf for no reason. Even if we don't like them, you don't go start wars like that," Mumm said.

"Mumm, did you ask Taz if he had anything to do with it?" I didn't have to. He came to me, told me and went there himself. He said he didn't do it but he didn't stop him. He thought you were kidnapped by a fleabag. No offence, just saying his words." Mumm said, all three of us growled. I did have your apartment redone. Your blood moved out and actual food moved in. All humans from your job think you are dead. Only your partner and his mate know. Since he was with you and well, he is also supernatural," Mumm said.

"Grate, I needed to fake my death anyway. Just tell the kids I love them please." I said, looking at Charlie and Lanora. Then I got up. "Now excuse me, I have to eat. It's been about two days. If I don't drink, I may go for you two, so please leave." I said, looking down.

"You're not a monster. You have drunk in front of us before." Charlie started, then a human was brought into the room.

"You have never seen me feed and never this hungry." I growled as I felt my eyes change red and blood lust try to take over. I couldnt help it. I leaped onto the human and drank her dry. Then I sat down and cried. I hate it here. They only drink fresh blood. All of it is from volunteers, but sometimes they die from someone over feeding when hurt.
