APRIL’S POV The water kept pouring down, hot and steady, like it could rinse off every doubt I’d walked in with this morning. My legs had gone soft, useless. If Leo hadn’t been holding me up, his wide hands firm against the small of my back, I would have slipped straight down the slick tile and ended up in a heap at his feet. I rested my forehead against the middle of his chest and listened to his heart. It pounded hard, faster than normal. That steadied me. He had just taken me apart again. His mouth, his fingers, the rough way he said my name against my skin had all left me shaking. Little aftershocks still rippled through me every time the spray hit a raw spot. My thighs quivered.
