Episode 1 – A Dangerous Meeting

Amara Bennett had always known the rules. Family came first. Duty came first. Love… was a luxury she could never afford.

Yet, here she was, standing in the grand hall of the Hawthorne estate, her heart hammering in her chest. The room shimmered with crystal chandeliers, laughter, and polite conversation but her attention was entirely elsewhere.

Across the hall, Liam Hawthorne leaned casually against a marble column, his dark eyes scanning the crowd until they landed on her. The air between them seemed to crackle, heavy with unspoken words.

Amara’s breath caught. She knew the danger. Liam was the heir of the family her parents despised. Being seen together could ruin everything but she couldn’t stop herself from walking toward him.

“Amara,” he whispered as she drew near, careful that no one else heard. “We shouldn’t be here… together.”

She swallowed, heart racing. “I know… but I can’t stay away.”

For a few stolen seconds, they stood there, suspended in a world of their own making, until a sharp voice cut through the air.

“Amara! What are you doing talking to him?”

She froze. Her eyes darted to the source and her heart plummeted. Standing at the edge of the crowd was her father, face pale with fury. And behind him, Liam’s older brother, Derek, was smirking, as if he had been waiting for this exact moment.

Amara’s pulse raced. Every step she took from this moment on could change everything.

And then… a hand grasped her arm from behind, pulling her into the shadows.

“Run,” a low voice whispered. "Or everything will be over before it even begins."
