I’m not a child. I knew Chase was about to say something about Nick. He just had the sense to hold it back. Out of politeness. And I also knew he wouldn’t say it even if I pressed, so I let it go, acting like I hadn’t noticed his reaction. Because I liked the energy between them, I agreed to handle his suit and his best man’s. The rest of the groomsmen, he said he’d sort elsewhere. They were both satisfied with that.
