Natasha Astrid's POV
I couldn't breathe. I felt like I was suffocating and running out of air! I opened my eyes and looked at Jacob, who was in front of me with a big smile while holding my nose that he was squeezing hard!
“Jacob!” I quickly hit his hand and he let go of my nose.
I quickly sat down on Jessica's bed and I put her to sleep and looked at the emotionless Jacob with wide eyes.
“Are you going to kill me?” I screamed in annoyance.
"I said, wake up early, brat."
It seemed really wrong that I slept there at Jessica's brother's house! It was like there was a bad w**d that was going to kill me here!
"What is that?" I scratched my hair in irritation.
I looked outside Jessica's room, and it was not daybreak yet, but Jacob was waking me up right away!
"Follow me downstairs," he said coldly, and looked at my chest.
I followed him and my eyes got bigger because he was looking at my chest! I was only wearing pink nighties and I didn’t even have a b*a on!
I looked up at him as if my chest would melt with his stare." Basto!"
"This is my house, bro. I will do what I want and see what I want to see," he said seriously, and walked away in front of me.
It was early in the morning, but my blood was really boiling for that man! We were not really close, but it was great! I felt like I was being oppressed here! It was only the first week of my vacation since I graduated and then there was this problem that immediately started bothering me!
I sighed and looked at the girl next to me. Jessica was still fast asleep and her lips were parted. I screamed at everything but she was still asleep. I just shook my head and removed the comforter that was blocking my body.
I walked into the bathroom of Jessica's room and got a new toothbrush that hadn't been used yet. I brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth, so I could set fire to Jessica's brother.
Jessica and I were very close, but you see her brother, we can't be close. His mere presence warms my blood!
"I hope you choke, Jacob," I said angrily in front of the mirror.
After I finished in the bathroom, I went out and went straight to Jessica's walk-in closet. We are almost the same size, so I could use her clothes. I hoped that was fine with him too.
I wore a b*a, a loose t-shirt and shorts. After I finished dressing, I tied my hair back with the black string on my wrist. I didn’t want to look like a witch in front of that antipathy.
"What does Jacob need from me?"
I walked out of the walk-in closet and looked at the bed. Jessica was still fast asleep so I didn't want to bother her anymore. I walked to the door of her room and went out.
I didn't feel at home at Jacob's house because I was not used to it. Jessica was the only reason I had come there. I just wanted to save her from the t*****e that Jacob would do to her. I don't know, but Jessica was really scared of her brother. There was nothing scary about Jacob. He could be annoying, yes he could! Because every time I saw Jacob's face, my blood immediately boiled.
"Good morning, ma'am," a uniformed maid greeted me. "Sir is waiting for you in the kitchen," she said, as if scared.
I just nodded with a frown. Jacob's house was big. It was bigger than my Grandfather's house where we lived. I had also seen many maids, and he also had many bodyguards who looked like they would crush people with the size of their bodies.
"It took you a long time," he said coldly as I entered the kitchen.
He was leaning on the fridge with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He was so handsome even in his simple black t-shirt and black pants, that's why he always cracked me up.
"What do you need?" I asked, annoyed. "And did I tell you to wait for me?”
I stopped in front of the kitchen island, far away from him. I didn’t want to approach him because this man might actually kill me later. I didn’t think I was safe there.
"Damn," he said. "Your behavior is not allowed in my house."
My eyes rolled because I didn't say anything that my behavior was okay in his house. Since no one really liked my boldness. My parents always described me as well-educated but not well-mannered, and I didn't care. They were not well-educated and not well-mannered either. They only felt clean because they went to church every Sunday.
"Don't worry because I'm leaving soon."
"And you think I'll let you leave right away?"
"What else do you need?" I couldn't help raising my voice at him again.
He was the most handsome man I had ever seen, but he was so twisted when it came to teasing me. I didn't know what he wanted and why he noticed me.
"Make me breakfast." He left leaning on the refrigerator.
"I already told you that I don't know how to cook, and I might even burn down your kitchen."
"Shut up and do what I want."
He would really insist on what he wanted. It was up to him! When his house burns down, it won't be my fault.
"You have a lot of maids, and then I'm the one you order," I said angrily, and walked closer to the stove.
I didn't even know how to open the stove! I was not aware of these things!
I prefer to just order food or eat out.
"Maybe even eggs. You don't know how to cook," Jacob said sarcastically behind me.
Can I pour oil on this man and then suddenly run away? That's why I might be hunting-in.
"A brat like you doesn't know how to cook. As expected," he insulted me again.
I couldn't count how many times he had insulted me since we met. I didn't even want to count because I might get even more annoyed with him. What was the old man's job? What annoys me?
"Just sit down," he ordered me.
I quickly left in front of the stove and sat on the high stool. I had my back to the kitchen island, so I placed my elbows on the cold tiles of the kitchen island while I watched Jacob.
"What do you want?" he asked me while looking inside the fridge.
Oh, it seemed he was now the servant. The corner of my lips raised, "Egg and toasted bread," I answered happily.
He took an egg from the fridge and turned to me. It was just a moment and he faced the stove. He opened the stove and started cooking.
"I thought you would order me? Why is it like you're the one I'm ordering now?" I said happily.
"Shut up and watch. Jessica might even say, "I feel sorry for her guest."
"Well, that's true," I said. "You are so rude to me. Even though I'm not doing anything bad to you."
Too bad, he was still handsome. I would have loved to say that out loud but maybe his ears would grow bigger.
"I don't like you for my sister. You are a bad influence on Jessica," he said.
“Who?”
"You."
"Who cares?" I would block him. He thought haha! Finally, I blocked him.
He turned to me and his eyes were shining. I just raised an eyebrow while sitting comfortably on the stool.
"Shut up, Natasha."
"Then shut up too. I don't care if you don't want me for your sister. I'm not a bad influence on her either and your sister is already an adult. You don't get to decide who she should be friends with or not.”
“I am just protecting my sister.”
“Protecting from what? From me?” I laughed. "Jacob, I won't do anything bad to your sister. If you woke me up early just to talk about Jessica, well you can hope I won't do anything bad to Jessica. Jessica knows my secrets, so I won't ruin our friendship.”
I gave him trouble and looked at the egg he was cooking.
"Maybe your egg will burn," I said.
He gave me an evil look before returning his gaze to the egg. I didn't talk to him anymore, so I turned my chair to face the kitchen island. I placed my two elbows and my eyebrows immediately crossed when I saw the maids peeking at the side of the kitchen door.
"What are you doing there?" I asked.
They quickly left as if they had seen a ghost. My eyebrows met more and more.
"Who is that?" Jacob asked.
I turned to him and my face hit his chest because he was on my side! I quickly stood up from the chair.
“Well, nothing!” I answered nervously. "Just your maids."
I went around to the other side of the kitchen island and sat there. It was awkward when we were stuck together! I was not used to him.
"Eat now."
I looked at the dishes on the kitchen island. There were two eggs there and two pieces of toasted bread.
"Does that have poison?" I asked.
"The poison is just weak." He grabbed the plate and pushed it in front of me. "If I'm going to kill you, I'd rather shoot you right in the head."
“Wait what?” I looked up at him. He was dangerous. I felt that he would come true with what he told me.
"Just eat, Natasha. I'm not going to kill you yet."
"So, you're going to kill me?"
"It depends."
Oh, God! Who was this man? What was he really? Was this person still normal? In the tone of his speech, it was as if it was normal for him to kill
people. But no! My friend's brother couldn't be a killer! I had also met Jessica's mommy. She was very kind to me! I even preferred her to be a mommy to my mother who was inside my grandfather's mansion.
"If you will be kind, I wouldn't kill you, but if you continue to curse in front of me, I might just kill you."
For sure, it only scared me because it annoyed me. Right! So I should not give in to what he showed and told me.
"Don't worry because you won't see me cursing anymore," I said with a smile. "Because this is our last meeting."
"How sure are you?"
"One hundred percent!"
He didn't answer and just sat down on the chair in front of me. He had no dishes and only a cup of coffee in front of him.
"I also don't believe that you can kill me. Besides, if you kill me, your sister will be angry with you. I am her only best friend,"I said proudly.
Jessica had a big trust issue because of her past, so I was her only friend. Maybe that was why Jacob doubted me because he didn't want what happened to Jessica to happen again. Jessica got betrayed by her ex-friends.
"She won't know that I will kill you," he said, and took a sip of his coffee.
I just stared at him and took a piece of toasted bread. I bit into it and immediately felt the cooking in my ribs.
"I always do my job carefully. I leave no evidence.”
“Are you trying to scare me?" I asked him directly.
"I am not. I'm just telling you what I can do."
Well, he couldn't fool me. I was not weak enough for him to go through with his threats on me.
"Maybe you're just saying that, but the truth is you like me," I said with a smile. "Maybe you came to wake me up so we could have breakfast together. Admit it, Mr. Sicilian.”
"I have no time to babysit a brat like you, Natasha Astrid."
I was pissed at him because he called me a brat again! Besides, what did he mean by babysitting me?
"Do I look like a child to you?" I asked him, annoyed. I made him suffer again.
"Try me one more time, your eyes will really stare."
