The dining room fell silent. Natalie stared at the food scattered across the floor. She had prepared every dish, one by one, with her own hands. Jayden stood by coldly, unmoved. "I wouldn't dare eat your cooking," he said, his voice sharp. "I'm afraid you'll poison me." His cruel words didn't seem to faze Natalie. She even gave a small, almost imperceptible laugh. Crouching beside the overturned dishes, she reached out and began to clean up the mess. The scene was a thorn in Jayden's side. His brow furrowed deeply.
