Natalie felt better once she settled into the front seat. She closed her eyes and endured the hour-long, bumpy ride until they reached their destination.
With rooms in high demand, she and Isabelle had to share accommodations. As soon as they arrived, Isabelle started ordering Natalie around, assigning her all the chores while she locked herself in the bathroom for over two hours.
After tidying up, Natalie needed to use the restroom, but with Isabelle refusing to come out, she had no choice but to go downstairs to find the public restroom in the lobby.
As she exited, she heard familiar voices around the corner.
“Are we going to attend Ms. Morgan’s dinner tomorrow?” It was Louis.
“Yes.” That voice... it was Jayden.
“Should we let Mrs. Roberts know?”
