Hezron picked up his keys and headed downstairs, his mind preoccupied with the odd craving that had been nagging at him. As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he found his brother, Carvin, sitting on the couch, intently focused on his laptop. The glow from the screen cast a soft light across Carvin's face, highlighting his furrowed brow. "Where are you going?" Carvin asked, not looking up from his work. "Just to the convenience store nearby," Hezron replied, trying to sound casual. "I've been craving cucumber." Carvin finally glanced up, a curious expression on his face. Hezron realized too late how strange his words must have sounded.
