Chapter Thirty Eight

1502 Words
The kiss was hunger filled as he sucked all the breath from my body. His hand laid behind my head, pulling me towards him to deepen the kiss. The desperation for more in the kiss encouraged me to trail my hand into that perfect hair of his. My other hand found its way up his hard chest, our lips moving rhythmically with each other. This was the most desire I'd ever had, and my entire self needed to satisfy it. I needed more. When I felt his hardened beneath poke my middles, it sent a gush of wetness down me, only fueling the desires. My hands moved to his shoulders, before trailing down his naked upper half. He kissed more hungrily than a guy had ever done to me before. Like he'd been waiting for this opportunity to come. His hand wrapped around my waist, pushing me even deeper to his hardened c**k. I pulled apart an inch to catch my breath, planning to get back to series of kissing ourselves dead. But that slight break seemed to have snapped some senses in him, because he gently took both my hands, removing it from him. “Austin,” I breathed out, regret immediately flooding me. What had I done? Oh s**t. “I'll go take a shower,” he turned, heading to the bathroom and disappearing out of sight, leaving me to feel more abashed than ever. My heart raced with how much desire had been flowing through me at that moment. Oh goodness. With a slightly trembling body, I headed to the bed, lifting the covers over my shoulders with shaky hands. What was that about? What would have happened if I hadn't pulled apart to catch my breath? Kim, what is wrong with you? The sound of a running shower could be heard, only reminding me of how he'd felt poking my middles. Oh gosh, what have I gotten myself into. I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping it'd remove images of the kiss. But they only popped up even more. My lips throbbed at how he'd sucked it like his life depended on it. Oh geez. About forty minutes later, he came out of the shower but I pretended to be asleep. No way was I going to face him. Probably ten minutes later, his figure landed on the bed beside me. Was he seriously going to sleep beside me after what happened!!! Why was the world being cruel with me?!!! *** Sleep… well, let's just say I forgot what that word meant. The night was filled with my thoughts drifting to the kiss, which drifted sleep farther from me. It didn't help that he laid beside me all night. I tried staying as far apart from him as the bed would allow, but that wasn't enough to ward off the spell the kiss had cast. It was only when light shone from the windows, indicating it was getting to daytime that I silently crawled out of bed, grabbing my phone with me. My feet tiptoed out of the room, thankfully not waking him up, because I couldn't imagine facing him after last night. I sent a message to Katie, asking if she was awake and could lend me one of her clothes. My plan was to get dressed and hurry out of the house before anyone else woke up. Seriously, I mean it when I say I couldn't face Austin after last night. Anything but to have to discuss it. To my relief, her reply came immediately. It was surprising as this was six and people I knew rarely woke up that early. Katie- I'm awake now, thanks to you. Can't you wait till later to collect it or what? Me- Can't. It's kinda an emergency, so please -Pleading face Emoji- Katie- Austin did something to chase you off? What's up? Me- Nothing, just tell me where to meet you. Katie- I'll come to you. Be there in about ten minutes. Me- Please make it two. Katie- Five. With a sigh, I replied that I'd be waiting. I really didn't want Austin to wake up. It would only be smart if I was to leave when there wasn't a chance of him stopping me. Not true to her word, Katie arrived fifteen minutes later with a bag in hand and a frown plastered on her sleepy face. “Here, I don't get why you need it so early,” she scoffed, throwing the bag at me, which I caught. “Good morning to you too, why are you so grumpy?” It was then that I noticed the hickey on her neck. That made me chuckle. “Did I interrupt something, I'm sorry.” Normally, she'd have blushed and hid it (not that I'd seen her with many hickeys), but she seemed grumpy and replied with, “bye,” then left. As silent as my body could, I went back to the room, where he still laid on the bed, then went to the bathroom after grabbing my bag of underwear. I threw off the nightgown before wearing my bra and knickers, putting on the baby pink spaghetti handle crocheted crop top and brown mini skirt she'd given me. Apparently, in her grumpy state, she forgot what the weather said and gave me a cloth certainly not for it. That was the least of my concern when I threw the gown in the bag (I'd give that to her later), then left the bathroom. He was still laying on the bed so I moved to the door, ensuring to make no sound. But when my hand met with the knob, his voice spoke, “where are you going?” A spark drove to my heart at the sound of his voice. Seriously. Removing my hand from the knob, I turned to him, annoyed at myself for taking so long. “I have somewhere to be, so I'll be on my way.” Hopefully he'd be smart enough to understand the situation and just let me leave. Instead, he threw the covers off his body, rising to his feet. “You're forgetting you came here as my girlfriend, it'll only make sense if I dropped you home, instead of you running out by six,” What was his problem exactly? “Then will you drop me home?” I asked in hopes he'd actually do that. But that was obviously not a smart hope, especially from the look he hurled my way. “We still have to have breakfast with my parents,” “What?” That would mean staying for more hours. “I'm sorry, but I've got somewhere to be at the moment,” nowhere, but he wouldn't know that. He moved to the closet, opening it and probably searching for what to wear. “Listen, if this is about last night,” the sound of that made my heart rate speed, “then you—” “I'll stay,” my tone shook from how fast my heart was beating, but there was no way I'd discuss last night. It'd be best to just let it die down. Never to reopen again. “Good,” when his lips pulled to an almost unnoticeable smirk, I realized he had just used that as a means to let me stay. And as the stupid girl I'd proven to be, I fell in his trap. Stupid. About three hours of him working on his laptop and me scrolling through t****k (where surprisingly, posts about me and Austin dating had filled the place… well to talk of making it a secret), we were sitting beside each other with his parents on a six seater table. Chris was at the head and Nora sat at the tail. Katie, who now no longer looked grumpy, was sitting opposite me, Kelvin beside her. “Oh, how nice it is to sit with all my children and their partners,” Nora began, a wide grin plastered on her face. “Hmm,” Chris agreed, his gaze focused on me, which, if I must admit, was very discomforting. “I just can't wait to have grandchildren sitting around, chatting and doing whatever kids do,” Nora's gaze moved between her children. Austin rolled his eyes while Katie shook her head. “Mom, thank you for that,” Katie offered her a smile that obviously spoke ‘seriously?’ “What? It's—” Chris cut her off with a loud clear of throat, averting all gazes to him. “Not to apply any pressure,” he bagan, gaze not leaving me, “but have you two ever spoken about the future? Like when you plan on getting married?” “Huh?” Was all I could make out with how my heart had begun thudding like it would pop out soon. At this rate, I might probably have a heart attack. “I think maybe you two should get married…” Yep, my heart certainly popped out.
