♠ Austin Hames ♠
What did I do last night? Oh shoot, what on earth was I thinking.
Her lips were just so kissable, I couldn't control the desires in me at that moment.
If she hadn't pushed me, then it was a certain we'd probably have ended up in bed.
Who knows, we might have even brought a child to life because I didn't have any condoms and was certain she wouldn't have been carrying one with her, but the desires in me wouldn't make me think about all those facts.
“...and the ten red marks are directed to— sir, are you listening?” Tina's voice snapped me back to reality.
How long had she been talking? Oh geez, Kim had occupied my thoughts so much, I wasn't focussing on work.
What was this woman doing to me?
“Uh, you were saying?” I replied to the questioning gaze she directed my way.
But of course, as her boss, she replied anyways, repeating what she'd said before, and this time, I ensured to not think about Kim and kiss so I could focus on her words.
After about ten minutes, we concluded on what needed to be done.
“Don't forget to stamp them and drop them on my table before you leave,” I reminded, watching her nod.
“Yes sir, and you'll be having a meeting with the Samjin Company in fifteen minutes sir,”
“Oh,” fifteen minutes was enough time to stop thinking about you-know-who-and-what.
A soft knock came from my office door, and opened after a “come in” from me.
It was a worker whose name I recalled to be Petrina.
“Good morning sir,” she greeted with a small bow, “there's someone asking to see you. We didn't allow her in, but she claims to be a friend and her phone got smashed or something so she can't call.”
My forehead puckered, “did she say her name?”
“Yes sir, she said she's Miss Susan Kurt,”
A sigh escaped me as I realized I'd totally forgotten about yesterday's coffee drinking.
“Bring her in,” then to Tina, “you can leave.”
They both heeded, leaving after a bow.
Soon, Susan stormed in, a death glare directed at me.
Her lips were pressed in a thin line as her nails dug into her palm.
“Why would you come to my work place when you know I just started working as the CEO?” My tone came out more stern than I'd intended.
Which was replied by a huff from her as she collapsed on one of the two chairs opposite mine.
“Will you explain what happened last night?” Her tone was low, but filled with restrained fury.
That annoyed me, “couldn't you have called rather than cause a scene here?”
“My phone broke by a stupid worker while I was waiting for you last night,” she replied sharply, “I waited for two hours in that shop! Nobody else was around, only me! The rain beat faster than ever, still only me!”
I leaned back against the seat, understanding how she'd felt, “I'm sorry, but some things came up.”
“What was so important, that you ditched me?” She sounded like nothing could be more important than that.
“Well, maybe saving Kim from being possibly abducted or beaten to a pulp by some assholes,” I snapped, then exhaled deeply to calm my nerves.
Getting angry won't do anyone good at this moment.
“So it's true,” her tone had dropped, almost like the wind that I might've missed it if everywhere wasn't so silent.
“What do you mean?”
“Couldn't you at least have dropped her home and come back to me?” Her tone was back to how it was before.
“Don't piss me off because of some stupid rivalry you have with her,” I hated being involved in girl's probably. Hated.
“It's not just about rivalry, it's about…” she trailed off for a second as though almost saying words she didn't want to, before continuing, “...the fact I have to hear her name and see her everywhere I go with you.”
“I'm not telling you to follow me everywhere, you have your own life, act like it.”
An emotion flashed across her features. Something that looked like pain.
“So now it's a crime to follow my best friend to occasions and greet him?” She scoffed.
This was getting annoying.
“I have a meeting to attend,” lifting some files I'd need, I rose to my feet, “you should leave and not visit me at work again.”
She rose to her feet, fury flowing in her reddened face, “well I hope she's doing f*****g well now,”
Before she turned, I thought I noticed her eyes turn somewhat… watery?
Nah, she won't cry. That'd just be weird.
I watched her stomp away before also leaving for the meeting.

When I got home, a part of me actually hoped Kim hadn't left (though it was seven in the evening), but of course, I was greeted by darkness and silence.
I took a shower, then went to search for anything edible enough to eat for dinner.
At last I found something, then began eating.
Which was when my ringtone echoed, so I reached for it to see a call from dad.
Why would he be calling? Was there something wrong with how I'd worked these past two days?
Well, one way to find out.
I placed it on speaker once I answered then dropped it beside me on the dining table.
“Hello,”
“Austin, how was work?” His tone didn't hint at any emotions of disappointment or anger.
More like his usual tone.
“Okay.” I didn't express any emotions to my tone, just taking a bite of my food, “anything wrong?”
“I've decided to do one last company stock booster before fully leaving the company in your care,” he explained his sudden call.
A frown tugged at my brows, “huh?”
“I decided to do this last thing before retirement,”
“Which is?”
“A Christmas Charity Event on the eighteenth,” he replied, “where we'll distribute some of our products for free and other things the needy will use to have a great Christmas.”
For some reason, that made me have a pinch of more respect for him.
He was not only thinking about his company, but also the needy.
That was great.
“Hmm, okay. Have you thought of a location?”
“I was thinking we hold it at the company,”
I nodded, not that he could see me. “Yeah, that's going to do the company great.”
“And you're going to come with your girlfriend to add more spice to it all.”
“What? Why?”
I could see his frown from his tone, “why? Because she's your girlfriend and should be there, why else?”
But he didn't understand how I'd planned on avoiding her for as long as I can so my body can stop having such effect whenever she's around.
There was no way I could tell him that, instead, “I'll ask if she can come.”
“Of course she should be able to, it's the holiday and I'm sure she won't be busy.”
“She might be my girlfriend, but you're forgetting her life is not bound to mine. She's got one of her own.”
He huffed like that was stupid, “I'm starting to think you two might actually not be a real couple.”
Gosh, could one's father be more frustrating.
“I'll try get her to come.” Without waiting a second more, I hung up, annoyed at it all.
After about two minutes, I sent her a message.
Me- You think we can meet up.
Her reply came immediately.
Kim- Alright, when?
Me- How ‘bout Saturday?
Kim- Sunday, so you can teach me about the sport.
Me- Okay.
That should've ended the conversation, but I found myself staring at the phone in hopes to receive more so we can continue chatting.
When it looked like she wouldn't reply, her message popped on the screen.
Kim- Is something wrong?
A smile crept up my lips as I pushed my plate aside, holding my phone in hand.
Me- We'll talk about it Sunday.
Me- How's your book coming up?
Kim- Katie assisted me and we've come up with what I'd hope to be intriguing.
Kim- Didn't really speak much about the sport since it's about a girl being attacked and tortured into a big pool of basketballs where she's chained to the bottom to die from lack of oxygen and the weight of the basketball.
Kim- Blood was poured over the balls, and some people laughed as she struggled, screamed for help, but of course, none came.
Kim- That's where the prologue ends.
Me- Wow, that's nice, but needs trigger warning.
Kim- Yeah, I'll make sure to point that out.
Kim- Sadly, Kelvin and I weren't able to go ring shopping, but we've postponed it to Saturday.
Kim- I'm trying to secretly check her ring size, I think we both have similar sizes.
Me- Won't be shocked, you two are so alike in body like.
Kim- -blushing face emoji- I take that as a compliment.
Me- It was intended to be one.
There was about a minute of nothing, till…
Kim- See you Sunday then.
Me- See you.
Kim- Good night.
Me- Night.
When I dropped the phone, there was excitement in me at the thought of talking to her.
I wasn't sure what was happening, but the feelings I was having seemed to be scaring me a little.
Could it be I was breaking the main rule in our agreement and…
Nope, don't think in that direction.
Best to just go to sleep and prepare for the days ahead.
