" I don't think it's Elsa who had done that, " Aaron said.

" Yeah, that what Amy also told me" Steve replied.

"Our mate will never do that" Damon said inside in my head.

I also want to believe them that she was innocent but it's her bracelet that holds me. It was there in that car.

"But how her bracelet came there," Steve said like he was reading my mind.

" Alpha, there was one more.." before Jean could finish Joseph cut him.

"Mick, I have something to discuss with you"

We all look at Joseph.

"What's it "

"It's about Elsa" a female voice came just behind him.

She looks in her fifties.

"You can talk, " I said to her. But her eyes look at Aaron, Steve, and Jean.

"I want to talk to you privately".I look at her eyes and they are showing fear.

I nodded to them to wait outside leaving me her and Joseph.

" So want you to want to talk," I ask her.

"My name is Mary..."

She talked about those celestial and lunatial, who Elsa was, how her parents died, and what all she suffered, when I heard all her suffering, I felt like a stab in my heart and how many times I had mock.... right I hadn't known her. I judge her from the start and refused to know who she was. Now she is our queen. The one that our pack was looking for, the one who can defeat

"I don't know what will happen if they found Elsa," she said with fearful eyes.

"Nothing going to happen to her. She was our queen and we will protect her whatever it takes" I assured her.

"Please do look after her for me," she said and went towards the door.

Joseph looks at me " I would have known her from the start. If she was from the last heir to celestial then she was the one who can read those books and will be the one who can save the whole pack but we have to protect her until she got the power".

I nodded.

" I know that you hate her but now she is our responsibility to protect," he said and put his arm around my shoulder.

Joseph was like a father to me. He had known me from my childhood onwards, he had known about her my gem how much I had loved her, and my life after her death.

" Alpha we got a problem here in the outer boundary" an alert message came to my earplugs.

"I'm coming"

"Left, command opens up the lac floor"

" What happened Mick " Joseph ask from my behind.

" Some had entered the outer boundary".

I went towards the door and open it, Steve rushed towards me.

"They have an iron bar with them Mick, and killed two of our guards," Steve said looking through his phone.

"Left, command opens up the lac floor and get ready for the fight " I ordered my guards.

When we reach there my guards were there and there was no one.

We all look at the scanner then at the same spot but no one was there but in the scanner, there were three outsiders and two guards dead bodies. But in the same place, we hadn't found that instead, the place was empty.

My face was pale, it was all a trap!

"s**t" I hash out and rush towards my place. I don’t wait or remember who was along with me, my heart beat faster. I jumped out of the car and rushed towards Elsa's room to find it locked when I reached. I punched and the door was broken and the scene in front of me made my heart stop.

A man standing there with a knife and ready to kill her.

I launched towards him and thrown him and launched a punch at him he falls into the arms of Steve and Aaron.

I bent my knees and pulled Elsa into my arms her eyes were rolling backward. I just patted her cheeks but she blackout. I gathered her in my arms and stood up then turned towards Steve and Aaron " take him towards the darkroom " I ordered them through my clenched teeth.

They nodded and went towards the door as I command.

I carry her onto her room and gently place her on the bed. After three or five minutes doctor of my pack came and examined her. Then after few minutes, she came out after her examination.

" nothing to worry about, she will be all right tomorrow. Maybe a mild fever and I had given those medicine to apple. If you find anything problem then please call me and that's all. "

" Thank you, Sarah "

She nodded and smiled at me and went towards the door.

I look at her sleepy form, her face is so pale. I curled my fingers into fits and launched myself towards the basement room.

" He is still unconscious Mick," Steve said when he saw me entering the room.

I look at him who was now tied to a chair then at Steve "call me when he came back to conscious". I said and went back to my room. I pour a whiskey on my glass and held it in my hand and walked towards the window and stared at the night sky when a star twinkle a sharp pain flow through my heart when I remember her smile my gem...

Gem was my childhood sweetheart. We grew up together as she lost her parents when she was six years and her dad was my father's beta and also his best friend so when she lost both her parents my parents took her with us. We all love her. She was a true gem. Even everyone in here adored her. It was always her smile I loved, when she smile her eyes spark like a diamond. When we were small we were always together Steve couldn't ditch me from her side we and the rest of them thought that we were soul mates. When we hadn't found our mates we confirmed that we are meant to be together.

But it all changes when my parents died in an accident and the duty of my pack become my responsibility and during my duties, I was kept away from her. I thought she will understand me and my duties and will wait for me but all my hopes shattered when she told me that she found her mate and she was already in love with him. At first, I was devastated by that news but didn't show her or anyone but Steve somehow find something was wrong with me and ask so I told him that she found her mate and is ready for an elope with him as his family didn't want her and ask Steve to keep this as a secret from everyone about their escape. But she didn't make it...

My hands formed into fits remembering that...

If she hadn't found him she would have been here with me...alive...

I turn my head towards the door when I heard someone's throat clearing. Tina was standing there at the door then she slowly walked towards me.

" Bad day mick," she asks and comes slowly closer towards me. " you know I can make your day feel good " and placed her hand on my chest and slowly runs down but before she could go below my stomach I push her from me.

She stumbled then straightened herself and look at me " you know you don't love Elsa"

I didn't answer.

" you know, you don't have to answer me that because yeah who would love the person who was responsible for the death of your girlfriend."

I clenched my teeth. But didn't said a word. I waited to see how much did she go with this.

"You know all you have to do is " she waited and look towards my direction and said, "just reject her and as your delta, I can... "she just paused then said "be your mate. All.." Now I had enough of this so I raise my hand to stop what she was going to say.

" if you say anymore I will throw you out from my place. You may be my delta but now " I turn my head to face her and said " that position is off as now I had my mate and if you said anything about her then be ready for your punishment " I said and stormed out from the room.

" what will be your pack say when they find out who she truly was a killer '...

Before she could compete I hold her neck and brings her face towards me " anymore word about her then you are going to lose your life"

Suddenly the door open and Amy rush towards me.

" what the hell are you doing mick, put her down"

" if she had done that I will punish her but until I get enough proof but now she is My mate and is your Luna. Understood " I throw her down and stormed out from the room.

I went towards the forest for a run but after few minutes my phone buzz. I took it then find that it's a message from Steve then my eyes fire up when I read the next message from an unknown number.

"LET'S START OUR MATCH ".
