Chapter Four

255 Words
A s the nieces were noticing they were closer to landing, and they all noticed their sweet aunt was still sleeping. Angel smiled at the little sleeping beauty, “It’s probably good for her to sleep that long. She will feel better for the landing and the van ride to Dublin.” “You’re right about that. She won’t remember much about her flight,” laughed Kat. That is when the nieces noticed Aunt Hazel’s eyes were slowly opening at the same minute the pilot’s voice came over the speaker. “Ladies and Gentlemen, the flight attendances are preparing for landing. We should be landing in fifteen or twenty minutes.” Then an amazing thing happened they didn’t expect. The pilot repeated his message in Gaelic. At first, they were confused until the lady across from the row from the nieces, Angel, Gin, and Tam, and told them she lived in Ireland and told them what they were hearing was Gaelic. Everyone smiled until the wheels hit the concrete. Wow! That made them all excited to hear that language. “Oh, my goodness gracious, we hit a big pothole. I sure hope it didn’t make the tire flat,” This was Aunt Hazel’s first landing. At least, she was still smiling. Freya, who was beside her, explained what had happened. That was when Aunt Hazel began laughing. “This is so much fun. Let’s do this again sometime.” Freya was still holding her aunt’s hand, “We will be off the plane shortly.”
