T he next morning Hazel, Sophie, and Duffy left the treehouse where they spent the night away from those pesky Snickers. Duffy was going to make its mission to finish the tall fence he had already started. He knew the Snickers wouldn’t be able to cross over a ten-foot wooden fence and come into his yard. Just in case, he put bells on top of the fence. He knew the Snickers would never come inside his house because they were sort of afraid of Duffy. That was a good advantage. The ladies began cooking breakfast. Hazel made biscuits and another blueberry cobbler due to Duffy eating most all the other one she had made.
